Dr. Drabant was incredibly kind, informative, and supportive from the very beginning. The doctor walked me through everything and helped ease my anxiety during a really stressful time. My parrot had surgery the very next day, and even though it's still early in her recovery, she's already showing signs of improvement. I'll be returning for follow-up appointments, but I already feel confident recommending this clinic -- especially if you have a parrot or exotic pet. The entire staff was friendly and compassionate. I truly appreciate how well we were treated, and I'm so thankful for the care they've given my girl.

I'm posting a copy of my email to Riverdale Animal Hospital to…read moreexplain why I won't go back there and why you should carefully consider doing so....here it is.... "Dr. Asiegbunam has asked that I bring Lola in for another urinalysis and culture on day 17 of her current course of antibiotics but I wanted to let you know that I won't be bringing her back to Riverdale Hospital, and Dr. Asiegbunam in particular, and I want to explain why. Lola's first treatment for a UTI was with clavaseptin which didn't work. After doing a second urinalysis it was confirmed Lola still had bacteria in her urine. Dr. Asiegbunam wanted me to bring Lola in for a culture but because that would have delayed treatment for 6 or 7 days, which I wasn't comfortable with, I had to convince Dr. Asiegbunam to try another course of antibiotics with a promise that I would bring in another urine sample 7 days after the course was completed. She begrudgedly prescribed baytril saying "I can't guarantee it will work". I didn't know it at the time but baytril doesn't contain penicillin (a common and effective treatment against bacteria) so it's no surprise it didn't work and I now believe she knew that. Because I understood the need to identify the bacteria after two failed treatments, I agreed to bring in a urine sample to do a culture but was told repeatedly that I couldn't do that because doing it at home would cause cross contamination. I explained that I would use a new litter box and nosorb and would take precautions but was always told that it wasn't possible. It took several conversations regarding taking the urine sample at the clinic before she finally explained that she was going to use a needle and remove it directly from Lola's bladder. Lola is a fully grown cat weighing only 7 pounds so I'm sure her bladder is relatively tiny and taking the risk of inserting a needle into a tiny, infected bladder wasn't something I was comfortable with nor could I afford the $850 estimate she quoted me. I said I would take the risk of cross contamination and I brought in a urine sample and a culture was done and ONE bacteria showed up.....NO cross contamination! Something Dr. Asiegbunam was adamant couldn't be done! A caring and competent vet would explain the procedure, give advice on how to attempt getting the sample at home if that was the client's preference and simply explain the issue of possible cross contamination and leave it to the client to make the choice that made more sense for them but Dr. Asiegbunam did none of that....she was more concerned with billing me $850 than she was with providing a solution! The culture results recommended a course of AMOXICILLIN which is exactly what I SUGGESTED TO HER a week prior to doing the culture but Dr. Asiegbunam still didn't prescribe amoxicillin. Instead she prescribed a two week course of doxycycline, a potentially dangerous tablet if not washed down adequately with water which she knew would be an issue with Lola. Fortunately, before picking up the tablets I reviewed the results for the culture and I had to call her to ask why she wasn't following the recommendation on the report but no reasonable explanation was given. I insisted that she follow the recommended treatment and she agreed to prescribe the amoxicillin. Rather than prescribe the recommended, safer AND most common treatment, she was suggesting a further possible risk to Lola's health. Why?? I can only guess it was a greedy attempt to rack up more fees since there was a potential high risk associated with giving Lola doxycycline! And let me repeat this....I had a conversation with Dr. Asiegbunam regarding the difficulty of administering liquids to Lola so why would a competent, caring vet chose doxycycline over the recommended, safer and most common choice of amoxicillin?? We all hope that the vet we choose is a caring individual who's main concern is the health of our pets and NOT someone who's main drive and concern is financial gain but that was not my experience with Riverdale Hospital and Dr. Asiegbunam. I'll find another vet for follow up. And yes.....I will be sharing my experience with an online review citing exactly as above! You should do better!"

Craig and his team are true dog lovers who take the pack to locations that stimulate and excite every day. I love that he takes pictures to keep us "parents" updated on what our pooches are up to. I feel so comfortable knowing my dog is in great hands. Working in the veterinary industry we deal with a lot of dog walkers, and I can confidently say that I have not come across a more responsible, compassionate dog lover. Great rates too! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for dog services!

My Review maybe Long but its Important!!…read more My dog Shannon has been with Craig and Sally's Pack from the time she was 10 weeks old. I have had several dogs in the past and always thought that dog walkers weren't necessary but thanks to Dog Tired Toronto I have a completely different attitude. A home isn't a home without a dog but I have a very demanding career and thought it wasn't fair for the dog to be on her own allot so I decided to get a dog walker and that's when I found Dog Tired. Craig gracefully volunteered to come meet my family, (my family includes my dog Shannon) and we just hit it off. He has a great personality, is young and vibrant but most importantly very professional; he was hired! From the beginning Craig was on time and punctual always keeping me in the loop of what's going on and how Shannon was doing. I just love their Facebook Page and I love seeing my girls pictures there and how much fun she is having. I've even tried their Stay-Cation services, it was by far the best and Shannon had a blast and I knew she was safe! This part is the important part that I want you all to read: I knew Shannon loved Craig and his wife and I was happy with their services but I just don't think I really knew how important they were until this past week when Shannon went to the Vet to get Spayed and had to stay at home for a week. 0 - M - G!!! For the past 6 months I kept telling everyone what a calm, loving Black Lab I had and how she sleeps all the time and cuddles; has never torn up anything and has a great personality. Well one week away from Dog Tired and I have a Menace on my hands!! In the past week since she has been in the house lazing around she has eaten my favourite shoes, ripped my Persian rug, is moody and barks at everything in and out of the house. I have come to the realization that not only does Shannon need Dog Tired Toronto I NEED DOG TIRED!! I can honestly say that it is money well spent to have your fur baby go on an outing with Dog Tired Toronto. They socialize with other dogs, they are happy, well exercised and come home rested. Its the best investment I have ever made. Craig and Sally will always have employment with me and I think if you haven't called them you need to call them today because they are AMAZING!
