Our stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was unfortunately disappointing…read more Upon arrival, our airport shuttle dropped us off on the -1 level. When we entered the elevator, it would not take us to the lobby (maybe because we didn't have a key?). As a result, my sons and I had to carry 5 heavy suitcases, some weighing 23 kg (50 lbs), up the stairs ourselves. No one was there to greet arriving guests, assist with luggage, or provide a luggage cart. We were told when we finally reached the front desk around 2:40 PM that someone was normally stationed downstairs, but they were short-staffed that day... We were also informed that our room would not be ready until at least 3:00 PM. When I returned at 3:00 PM, there was a very long line because a Delta flight to Atlanta had been canceled, and many of those passengers had been accommodated at the hotel. Despite there being only 2 employees checking guests in, the wait took nearly an hour. Unfortunately, this significantly cut into our afternoon, as we had planned to head into Amsterdam city center to explore. To make matters worse, when we finally got to our room, some of the towels were dirty, and there was hair in both the shower and the bathtub. I had to call the front desk and request clean towels before we could even get settled. Honestly, there are several other airport hotels in the Schiphol area that offer a much better experience for the same price ~ or even less. While this was only my personal experience, I would not choose to stay here again or recommend it based on the service and cleanliness we encountered.

Delta put me up here after a delay caused me to miss my connecting flight. Overall, it's an okay…read morehotel -- about 2-3/5 stars. The property feels a bit old and it's not really near anything, with the main perk being the shuttle to/from the airport. Rooms and common areas were pretty clean, and it covered the basic necessities. Breakfast and dinner were decent, but there weren't many vegetarian options and the variety was limited (though not terrible). Service was good, which helped. I wouldn't go out of my way to book it, but if you're being placed here by an airline (Delta/KLM) due to a disruption, it's not a bad option for a night.

We sat on a large table which could need some cleaning. Staff was friendly but it took a few minutes before they came to our table. We ordered drinks and requested the lunch card. We were given the menus with the drinks. The menu's were a bit stained so this also needed some cleaning. The menu is comprised of several fish salades and meat dishes. We ordered two North Sea salads and one chicken burger. All three were served after 15 minutes or so. Taste was OK, big enough portions. Service is friendly. I rate it three stars as the place could need some cleaning (especially tables)

Try not to get an end unit, the noise of the stairway door slamming is audible even if you jam a towel under the door. Their king beds are just two twin beds shoved together, if you're wondering why the sheets fit so loosely. Housekeeping was thoughtful enough to get us a second pair of slippers, and restocked a toiletry they missed the first time around, but left the window open after a cleaning. One front desk agent went above and beyond in troubleshooting why our room's outlets weren't working, and ended up bringing up an extension cord and separate converter to make up for the in-desk faulty outlet. Another agent wasn't able to answer my question about local public transportation, and made no additional effort to find out of the answer or pass along the question to the other person working. Training seems... varied. Our real frustration was the check-in process-- their time estimates for when the room would be ready was off by several hours (and kept changing in-between), which is a huge setback when you're jetlagged and part of a group booking. I think next time we'll opt for an Airbnb for a third of the nightly cost.

Greets every guest & makes you feel Welcomed. Note: you're only 9 to 12 mins walking from Den Haag Centrum Station or you can take a 7 min Uber if traffic allows. The ambiance & decor is spot on at 1st glance it looked like Sephora. Lol It's huge too! Several meeting rooms, a 24/7 Gym on the 1st floor. Large size bar / Blue Blood restaurant. The mini bar is stocked with a lot of liquors and free chocolate chip cookies. The tea set is really cute and the art is aesthetic. There is a restaurant on the rooftop as well as a pool. The gym is well-equipped and they have fitness classes as well. I liked that the bathrooms came supplied with a lot of different options for shampoos, conditioners, and body wash. The location is good and it's a doable walk to the Centraal Station. We did have an issue with some of the staff members not being helpful or blatantly disinterested in helping. There was a lack of clarity in how many people they allow in hotel rooms (i.e.3 people have to book a medium size room and can't book a smaller one). The forced upgrade left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
