The current sign out front has a patriotic looking W. I did asked what it stood for when I was in here, but I cannot, for the life of me, remember what they had said. But I digress. I ended up coming here to grab a drink and use the facilities. However, I should have skipped the facilities. More on that later. Inside the convenience store portion of this, it does exactly what it is there for. This location has a lot to offer and can definitely fill a need you are looking for. I grabbed myself a drink, paid and headed out to use the facilities. Before that, I had no idea about this, but you can walk around Galveston drinking as long as it is in a brown paper bag. The facilities here, if you can hold it, skip them. I could not. I went in and because of the lights, it was filled with bugs of all kings flying around. This is the lowest example of a bathroom that you could get. I mean, it had a toilet and sink, but everything else in there was totally ruined. You can tell that this is used by all types of people. Especially the razor left on the counter. I didn't even bother to wash my hands in here as I knew it wouldn't do any good. Yikes!

The staff kept everything moving smoothly, and the atmosphere was fun and energetic. If you've never been to Buc-ee's, you need to stop at least once. One chatted up the cashier while the other slammed into me as I was sliding my card. She stood shoulder to shoulder with me, stared at the screen, and ignored my requests for her to back up. It was clear that they were planning on robbing someone, so I walked out before withdrawing any money. My husband (who was waiting outside with our two small children in a stroller) had a similar experience with a homeless woman in the parking lot. She circled around him and repeatedly tried to touch our 9 month old daughter while mumbling to herself.
