We have go every year when we go to the beach with our kids. My son is 8 and daughter 6 and they…read morestarted going at 5 and 3. My son requests it every year and talk about it for weeks before we go and after. What's so great about it? It is set up like a real Wild West town (and Indian village) they have performances with shoot outs (using blanks) and activities for kids (ax throwing, mining for gold, mechanical bull riding, shooting bow and arrows. And my son (and now daughter's). Favorite part....running around the town shooting at kids with cap guns while they shoot back. This year the actors even stayed around and got into to some pretend gun fits w the kids (would fall over dead as kids shot at them) My kids could have played there all night...they were having the time of their lives This year we went to the water park for the first time and that was a lot of fun too. Getting into frontier town itself is free. But you kind of need to buy your kid a cap gun (or bring one!) and all the activities cost some money. But in my opinion it is a very unique experience you can't get anywhere else. You can't bring coolers or outside food but they do have good, some fun kid drinks, and alcoholic beverages for the grown ups. For people that like camping they also have cabins and campgrounds there....and they run a shuttle to Ocean City which is only 15 miles away. We have never done the camping. We actually usually stay in Rehoboth Bach (an hour away) and drove there for the day (my kids love it that much) OR hit it on our way home. Frontier town has been such a special part of our kid's beach memory making every year! P.S they also have Go Ape and Mini Golf there too.

We have stayed at many a campground. But this one takes the cake for disrespectful clientele…read more A family with some unruly kids with those horrible WHIPS they sell in the camp store shop kept up the whipping and popping for the entire two days we were there. And sadly, the "Park Patrol" who knows the family/camp site tenants did little to make the situation better. With multiple veterans and LE on our campsite, we were on edge constantly with the sound that sounded like gunfire. And when approached by the patrol, the tenants blasted whip it real good and kept it up. If this is the kind of people you let stay here, we won't be back.

We were a large group that stayed in 2 cottages. The first cottage 104 had an amazing outdoor area…read more However, the inside of the cottage was very small (as in sofa in the kitchen and small table) We had ants on the kitchen counter ( they did come and spray) the comforters had hair all over them and there was hair piles on the bunk room floor. The other cottage we had was ok- not super clean but not dirty like the other one. However, I would not recommend using the sofa beds. The mattresses were super slim and you could feel the springs- think 1980's mattress. We also were not able to get into our cottages until an hour after check in time. I understand they are short staffed which probably accounted for the dirtiness and the lateness of check in but at the price they charge they should consider not renting all the cabins out if they can't clean all of them or charge a cheaper price to make up for the lack of cleanliness. On a positive note. they were quick to come spray for ants and fix our other concerns and the staff was very nice. The resort itself is very nice and if you have your own RV it would be a nice place to stay.

It can be a bit of a party atmosphere on weekends so sit back and watch the show! Our first couple of days were mid week and the place was only 10% occupied, so the water pressure was super high! Great for showers in the really nice bath houses, but remember your pressure regulator for your RV. Speaking of bath houses, the showers use the type of controls where you have to put the button to keep the water running. The shower that was ADA compliant wasn't working properly, my only problem all week. Checking in and the sites were great. A nice family pool and another pool with a swim up bar too. The store was well stocked and not overly inflated pricing. The weekend after memorial day it was a loud party till about an hour past quiet time, but not too bad and then it did quiet down, so come to party! :) Also it can get windy near the ocean so watch those awnings. Overall, a great time!

[962] This Cape May…read moreCampsite/RV Resort is near Wildwood and the beach at Cape May. The bushes before the site are high so be careful you don't pass the entrance like we almost did a few times (Ok I did once at least). The resort is clean and has a small cute movie theater, activity center (we did not use it), basketball and tennis court. There is a nice size pool and a huge lake which is dog friendly (not a fan of this rule)... The resort has nice seasonal site but the rentals are on the smaller side. The first few nights were felt squashed in with the big RV buses on all sides of us. Once they left it felt a bit roomy with the empty sites. The fire ring is made from cement and kind of sucky. The wood table was worn. The staff was very friendly. The camp store was huge with many items to choose. The ice cream shop had tasty treat and also served good food. We had our bikes so it was easy to bike around the resort especially to the lake. It was quiet in our area during quiet areas (I saw others had issues). A few stores/markets (Aldi, Giant, Starbucks) were nearby so it was easy to run for missing items. Internet was crappy even with my hotspot. I guess it's good as it forced me to relax more but I like having my own option. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year.

The neighboring group blasted bass-heavy music from Friday night through Sunday morning, sometimes beginning around 8 a.m. Their music and conversations included extremely offensive, profane and racist language, even though children were present. Their site grew to approximately four cars and five tents, and their two unleashed dogs repeatedly entered our campsite and bothered our leashed dog. We complained multiple times to the office, security booth and staff, but kept getting passed around. The music would briefly go down and then start again. The same group even brought a huge speaker to the lake, making it impossible to escape the noise. On Sunday morning, Alvin from security finally got them to lower the music and put their dogs away, but they were already preparing to leave. They continued cursing and angrily discussing who had reported them. They were clearly very angry, and the situation became so concerning that I carried mace and nearly called the police. We could not relax, talk, cook or enjoy the campground. I have camped and traveled extensively and have never experienced anything this disruptive or so poorly handled. We will never return.
