Entered for lunch today. Looked good and I wanted pasta which they had on the menu.Waited to be seated as requested by sign and did the checkin thing as required. Was noticed after a couple of minutes, no problem. The place was not full even by social distancing conventions so the waitress grabbed a menu and sat me at a little table in the walkway in front of the kitchen area. Not a good table by a long shot and one I was not comfortable sitting at. I was by myself and did not want to be sat in such an awkward place within a couple of feet of the dividing bar like a naughty school child being sat in front of the class. I went up to the waitress and said I wanted another table please as I was not happy to be sat there and she said, social distancing blah blah blah. No offer of a different seat, just blah blah. The place had other tables that people had just vacated and the lunch rush was well over but it was obvious she didn't want to give me a better table so I just walked out. She didn't even offer a table to be cleaned that I could wait for. Please don't whinge about not enough customers when you can't even clean a table for one. read more
