CVS is open, Walgreens is open. Enough places to get essentials. Sir Hubbers & I drove around the whole hotel, the side streets surrounding this hotel are apocalyptic. I have never seen anything like it. Everyone has been flooded. All the gorgeous St Pete beach homes have been gutted & the entire contents of everyone's homes are on the street. It looks like a war zone. However, when you come into this property it looks immaculate. This place was somehow untouched. The two pools are gorgeous, the rooms spotless & our King Suite was super comfortable. Perfect in every way. Our King Suite has a full kitchen with a full size stove, full size refrigerator & a full size pull out couch with separate AC & fan. The separate King Bedroom & bath were divided by a sliding barn door with its on walk in closet, walk in Marble tiled Shower, it's own AC & fan! Our King bed & bath were super comfy & gorgeous in every way. We even had all brand new towels. Honestly, we can't find one thing to criticize about this place. They even have a wall of "Beach stuff" to use to take to the beach. WOW. This place is just perfect for us. Covered all our needs. We also met the lovely Amanda, she is super friendly, service was excellent. We LOVED our stay at "St Pete Beach suites" & can't wait to return. We have finally found our home away from home OuiOui. If you prefer a more "hands-off" hotel/ resort experience then the Ocean Club is the place for you…read more Since it's located right on the beach there's lots to do and we had a car to drive around so we really weren't needing or desiring a lot of amenities onsite. There's hardly a lobby, just a small front desk but if you have a car you park under the building and walk in through the back. It feels very wrong and is definitely an odd setup. However, the hotel is very clean and well-kept overall. The room was nice, if not setup a bit strangely as we had a 2-bed suite that had the longest hallway I've ever seen in a hotel, just to get to the kitchen. The view on the balcony is incredible, of course, but I wasn't overly impressed otherwise. They have a pool but it's pretty small and gets crowded fast. If you don't get seats at the pool early in the morning you might not be able to find some later, especially if you stay over a weekend. There is a private access path to the beach but I clocked that it is at least .3 miles from the hotel to the beach- you walk far less just parking at public access. They have a small bar where you can get select drinks and a few food items. But it's not much- you are relatively on your own in that regard otherwise. The rooms do have a kitchen but I know the majority of people don't want to cook while on vacation. You also can't really ask for a variety of drinks from the bar- we asked for one not on the menu and one sweet bartender was going to help us figure it out until her manager, a blonde lady, made a huge fuss over it not being on the menu. It was very unsavory how she acted and even other guests at the bar during my that time noticed how uncomfortable it was. This woman was also just not real friendly working at the front desk while we were there either. The maintenance guys were great and keep everything in great shape- mopping the pool area every morning, making sure the path is nailed down and everything is in order. They are also very strict about parking- each room gets one car to park onsite and they send emails pit about it nearly every night. It seems really inefficient and like there has to be a better way to system that. Overall we had a good stay but I don't think I'd come back. There are so many other beachfront resort options, and for the price and what you get not too sure that it's worth it unless you got a really good deal.

Major projects are sometimes unavoidable. Rather, we believe the extent of the disruptions affecting our stay was never adequately disclosed. During our booking discussions in the summer of 2025, no mention was made of major construction. The day before our arrival, we received an email describing a "much needed facelift" and advising us to expect some "exciting activity" during weekdays. What we actually experienced was far more disruptive. Workers repeatedly used our unit to transport equipment and materials, scaffolding was erected on our balcony, and our exterior windows and doors were covered with plastic for nearly three weeks, eliminating most natural light, airflow, and views. Noise, dust, and limited pool access further reduced our enjoyment of what was intended to be a premium six-week winter vacation. After discussing our concerns and requesting compensation, we were offered only a 10% discount on a future rental, the same offer apparently extended to guests whose units were affected far less than ours. Had we known the true extent of the disruptions before arrival, we would have seriously considered alternative accommodations. Our complaint is not that construction occurred. Check in was super efficient and the reviews are right about the woman at the front desk..what a nice person! Walked me to my room, showed me how to work the digital lock, even came and rescued me at 10:00 at night when dummy me locked myself out. The only downfall is the walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors and traffic so be prepared to get up early. Hey, it's the beach..who doesn't want to take an early morning walk on the beach anyway?!

I checked my room on the Bonvoy app when I booked - it was there. Reservation confirmed by The Moxy. The day before my reservation, 7/23/2026, it was still there and ready for me to check in. I did not check in at that time because my husband had been in the hospital the day before, and I still had a cancellation window. Everything with him was okay and on 7/24 I took the Brightline up to Orlando, where my friend picked me up and we headed over to St. Pete for our fun girls' weekend. I decided to check in to The Moxy on the way to St. Pete on the Bonvoy app, and my reservation is no longer there. I looked at My Trips, and my "Cancellations", and OUR RESERVATION HAD BEEN CANCELLED!!! This was at 2PM on the day of the reservation and NO ONE HAD REACHED OUT TO US TO LET US KNOW. I just want to remind you - this room was PAID IN FULL several weeks in advance, and therefore no reason to be cancelled. I called The Moxy and no one answered the phone. I called Chase and spent almost 2 HOURS on the phone with them while the travel advisor contacted The Moxy and went back and forth trying to figure out the situation. Apparently, The Moxy had overbooked for the weekend. And rather than honor a PAID IN FULL reservation for a Gold Elite member, they cancelled my reservation and prioritized someone else. I can't imagine, that at 2PM the hotel was full of people who already prepaid with any sort of membership status, when the check-in time is 4PM. I later learned they were having a "Pool Party" event on 7/26, so I suspect we were bumped so they could get a higher price on the room. We did have a great rate. This is poor business practice, and The Moxy has lost my business. It nearly ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend. We were redirected to another hotel - in TAMPA. We made the best of it, but we still had to drive 30 minutes to St. Pete to do all the activities we had already planned for and purchased. It's not nice for anyone to get bumped, but what's the point of having this "status" and prepaying if you can't be guaranteed a room? It doesn't matter if the room is booked through the hotel, Chase, Expedia, Hotels.com or whatever - A PERSON PREPAYS IN FULL, THEY GET THE ROOM.

Several of the units are privately owned, either way, such a nice place to stay and relax. Location is key in choosing a vacation rental. At Belleair Beach Club, you're literally minutes from Clearwater, Indian Rocks Beach, St. Pete and Tampa. Just about anything you want to do is a short drive. Plenty of good eats in the area as well as nightlife activities. Only negative I have for this years trip is the slight eyesore of the massive pipeline spanning the beach with the ship sitting about a half mile offshore - but not to worry, they're just dredging to increase the size of the beach so it will be even bigger when we return!!

There is no office access. We saw multiple people trying to access the office, obviously it was not communicated to them that this is now a "no contact" facility. 2nd complaint- there were SEVERAL huge bags of laundry sitting outside on the patio of said "office" for days. 3rd complaint- the 4 people "on staff" who were of which no identification that they were employees until we saw them with brooms, mops, etc. They were extremely RUDE. In example, a larger heavy set man was there and we asked him to unlock the laundry room so we could do our laundry. He was very rude in his response and asked what we needed and if it was personal items or needing towels, we said personal items and he laughed and said "ok, well it should be open", not offering to open the doors for us after we just told him it was locked. So, we found the second employee on staff who was identified with a "maintenance" name tag, and asked him if he would open the laundry room for us, he kindly opened them for us. 4th complaint- there was another said employee that was not uniformed violently pushing the chairs in the patio and taking guests personal towels that were laid out on chairs to their laundry basket. He was also going up to guests who were eating and asking them if they were finished with their food. He was very rude to interact with and he was not professional in any manner, just as the heavy set gentleman. 5th complaint- MOLD. There was mold all on the inside of our shower and growing on the shower curtain (see photos). 6th complaint- This is the icing on top of the cake- our flight was scheduled to leave very early, so we had to get up and going around 3 am. Waking up and walking into the kitchen, there were not one, but TWO COCKROACHES crawling on the floor!!!! My phone was not with me and as soon as I moved to go grab my phone, they ran straight under the refrigerator. As if the complaints above weren't enough for us to ever return, the last complaint was. This establishment used to be so well ran and high class. All I can say is wow, we will never return to Belleair Beach Club. It was also communicated amongst other guests we had met there that they have been staying there for years and were also very disappointed in the way this establishment has went downhill very quickly.
