We joined this studio at the beginning of the summer, and it's been such a wonderful experience! My daughter started with just one class, and now she's up to three because she loves it so much. A few of her friends have joined too, and they all enjoy not only dancing together at the studio but also creating their own routines outside of class with the moves they've learned. One of the most exciting parts has been the performances. My daughter got to dance at the fair, and the studio is already preparing for a special Christmas event! These opportunities have boosted her confidence and made her love of dance grow even more. Miss Becca and Miss Bailey are so fun and encouraging, and Miss Marilyn, the owner, is truly special. she's compassionate, genuine, and patient with both the students and the parents. You can tell she pours her heart into this studio, and it really shows. We're even planning a private birthday event here for my daughter and about 20 of her friends, and she is absolutely thrilled. We're so grateful to have found this studio. It's more than just dance, it's a community. It was ok when my daughter first went there she loved it and like there were some problems with a another girl they have high prices for the training that not worth it like my daughter wants to be the best she can be but there training could be a lot better we left because the prices is to high but overall they could have been a lot better classes and bigger space read more

The owner Marilyn is unreasonable when my niece has a broken foot. Doctors orders to not do any physical activity nor sit for a long period of time. If you want a rude, unprofessional dance studio this is your place. Constantly harassing to get her to sit through classes w an injured foot. On top of that she forces you to buy these Avon make up packages for every student ...FYI not every child has the same complexion. No thank you Beach Cities! Not recommended dance studio at all! We just moved back to OC and luckily we found this amazing dance studio for my 4 year old! She taking the ballet and tumbling class at this studio on Monday evening and she loves it! We like that is a ballet and tumbling class so she can do both. Great location with ample parking. Very friendly staff and is nice and clean. This lady at the front desk named Marilyn is very rude and pushy. She has no customer service skills. Won't be signing my children up here. The studio is outdated and smells with flies and bugs surround the front to top off no air conditioning. read more

I signed my boys up for dance camp. Marylyn and the teachers were truly wonderful. I loved the innovation with the camp , the discipline in really working with my boys teaching them to listen and focus ...my boys really went away learning two new dances. After we relocated to Orange County, my daughter began taking dance classes at Beach Cities Dance Studio. She is now on the competition team, which is both very challenging and exciting for her! The BCDS competition team is very active in both attending nationally renowned dance competitions and conventions, and performing at a variety of different events on the local level. The studio is in a convenient location, on the border of Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach. As a former dancer with some teaching experience and a Bachelor of Science degree in Dance, I have an awareness to evaluate dance teachers and studios on a level that probably not all parents have, given my experience. Marylin (studio owner) obviously has this skill set to a high degree, as her staff of teachers are all greatly skilled, and notably work very well with their students. Dance is both athleticism and Art, two things that I believe children should participate in, regularly. Marilyn allows new students to take as many dance classes on their level as they wish for free, upon the first week of enrollment. Update!!! I'm still so I love with this studio! From the owner Marilyn to every single dance teacher to all the dance parents! I feel like it's a second home and we are all a awesome dance family. Yaretzi takes 8-11 hours of classes a week and let me tell you she is excite every single day to go work hard and improve her skills. The teachers keep her motivated and Marilyn is her biggest fan. My daughters second season, love this place great family environment, owner Marilyn really cares about the students and goes out of her way to make them feel safe and comfortable in the dance studio environment. Dance teachers are second to none, dance styles include contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, and ballet to name just a few and at all experience levels. We did a trial class at this studio and I decided to never go back because they play music at needlessly ear-splitting volume. Frankly, I was shocked how crazy loud it was. Parents should be concerned that ongoing exposure to excessively loud noise is probably not good for their children's hearing health, and the studio should be more cognizant of those risks. read more

My daughter loves dance and loves being a part of the Beach Cities Dance Studio family! When she was 5, she wanted to dance at this studio so she could win big trophies like the ones that were on display in the window. Well, 7 years later she finally got her wish and we signed her up at Beach Cities Dance. She is into her second year now and it has exceeded her expectations.
