Tl;dr: Made a reservation for Sunday pickup. I was stood up and got no response. Seems to have happened to other people as well. It is a strange business. They have stated business hours, but they don't always answer during those. Called a few times with no answer. When I finally got my phone call answered, I made an appointment to rent a scooter for a full day and the owner suggested a Sunday pick up. Owner was nice and responsive and took all my info. I got there on time and there was nobody there. I called a few times with no answer. I left a voicemail and no answer. Overall after 30 minutes of waiting I just left. I am very disappointed with the service. I really wanted to try out a Vespa but I will need to look elsewhere. read more

All I can say is the privileged attitude problem that this business owner possessed was unimaginable. I signed a contract for 3 night golf cart rental for 255$. Let me state that again I SIGNED a contract for only 255$ price. I was then charged a different price without being notified. So yes the business owner committed fraud and charged my card 424$ when I only signed for 255$. His solution to scamming me was giving me a free golf cart rental. Lol I really can't imagine being this entitled. I have already filed a claim with my bank. The fact that this guy doesn't even know me or my situations and robbed me is disgusting. What if I needed that money for rent or groceries. At the end of the day it's very apparent that he only cares about money. You would be out of your mind to ride in one of these on the streets of Naples or Marco Island. You will be crushed by some grey haired northerner who has no idea what is going on. And don't let the name fool you. These vehicles are not allowed on the beach and beach parking is very difficult to come by during high season. It sounds like fun but look past the LGBTQ colored Mokes. You are far better off getting an uber or just renting a real car in terms of safety, comfort and cost. The conclusions that other reviewers have about the owner's behavior seem very accurate as well. His arrogance is well known by locals. read more

Owner is an arrogant business owner. Set a reservation 3 months ago, have a confirmation notice, went to pickup today and he "claims" his online system is down! Way to ruin a kids vacation. No notice and blames his IT guy for 4 months of website issues. Don't waste your time or money on a company like this. Absolute joke read more

Beware! This place is horrible. The owner is pretentious and doesn't care if they make a mistake. They messed up my reservations and the answer I received was "there's nothing that we can do about it." They never answer their phones and when you do get someone they have a nasty attitude. Well what can I say, first the Owner/Male I talked to was at lunch when I called & he said that would call me back after lunch. The issue we had neither his website or final bill ever said a extra delivery charge would be applied, but when I looked at our bank statement online the bill was higher by $ 107.00 dollars. Please, please check out the other golf cart rental companies in town before going with Beach Bugz. It seems easy to book online indeed but even when you get a confirmation email, that does not mean you will have a cart. They also don't answer the phone during business hours. When someone finally answered the phone late on the afternoon I thought I was getting a cart, I was told "they were 3 carts down, maybe they could get me one by Tuesday" I never got a cart! There are many more great companies in Naples to rent!!!! read more

Woody when he often doesn't deliver or says he over looked being sold out will blame his delivery driver which doesn't exist or his secretary who also no longer exists. Ok we came to Marco island for a family vacation and wanted to rent scooters for a day, went to a local shop in Marco and was not impressed "it's amazing how being an owner verses just an employee can make such a big difference". We two senior citizens just had a great time zipping around on the very spiffy Vespas rented from "Woody" at Beach Bugz. The Vespas are brand new in excellent condition and very easy to operate. No gears! Woody supplies very solid helmets but we chose to use our less cumbersome bicycle ones. Gas included. Woody and his assistant Becca treated us great, answering all of our questions and patiently making sure we understood everything before we went out to do our first wheelies. Lot's of fun! read more
