Beautiful jeep cosmetic wise. They did a great job on this build. Mechanically, not so much. After we purchased the vehicle, we noticed the death wobble on the highway very badly. ( Reason they probably didn't take us on the highway during test drive ). They offered to pay half the cost to have it repaired....... HALF. Since then, I've invested about 5k in repairs as in oil leak from upper oil pan, rear main seal, replaced radiator and thermostat, and now it's back in the shop because it's misfiring........ If you're looking for a good-looking jeep, this is the place. If you're looking for a reliable, good running vehicle, you may want to stay clear. read more

We just purchased our second Jeep from these guys. The first one, an '06 with only 5k miles on it, served us very well for four years. They called and asked if we would be interested in selling it back as apparently this is a hot model right now so.... Ok! Time for a newer model, yes! We negotiated with our salesman Matt via text and when they were able to inspect the old one gave us the higher trade in value we had requested. We got a great deal on the 'new' 2015 (only 10k miles!) and the transaction was quick and hassle-free. Every Jeep on their lot is in excellent condition and fairly priced. I literally just got off the phone with the owner from beach buggies and I was trying to tell him about the issues I've had with my jeep and he ended up cursing me out ending with who the fuck are you and if he tries to lie about that conversation I've actually got a witness who was with me as I was using bluetooth. Their customer service or horrible! Could not get a call back or email for days so I went there and ended up purchasing a jeep thinking it was going to get better and it didn't. From sales to finance, I felt they really put in the effort to get me the Jeep I wanted with the financing that met my budget. Recently I purchased a vehicle and had to return to Connecticut before it was "ready" for pick-up. In my estimation, these guys can be the poster boys for used car salesmen that are often referred to as "snake oil" salesmen. Initially contacted head sales manager "Mort" over telephone, who repeated three times how he routinely sells his cars overseas, often without customers even seeing the cars, due to outstanding selection and unbeatable prices, so why dont i just put a couple of thousand bucks down on a jeep i saw on the website? Yeh, ok, and when i quoted him the price i saw, he said, no I was wrong, it was one thousand dollars more, not even realizing it was reduced. (Gee, right after that phone call, by some strange coincidence, The web site removed the discounted price, and went back to the higher (inflated) price - lets call that STRIKE 1. Then My wife and I go to Beach Buggys in person, met with Mort, who wasnt rude, but again reminded me of his supposed international salesmanship, yaddah, yaddah, yaddah. I did inquire about a jeep on his almighty list, but he said that one of his salesman just took it out, cant we wait till he returns , it will just be ten minutes? Half hour later, no salesman, no jeep - told him to call me back, cause we werent waiting. (Hint to sales "experts": if u have potential sale, tell yur salesman to get that car back here PRONTO) - by the way, I got the call ALMOST THREE HOURS LATER that the salesman just returned with the jeep I was interested in - must've been a helluva lunch or a hot date. Lets call that STRIKE 2 . Also during that conversation, I researched the kbb value on that jeep, and LO AND BEHOLD, their quote was over 2000 more - so when i explained that to Mort, he replied: kelly blue book and nada are all crap, they dont reflect jeeps anyway ... ". Really? But here's the best line of all, again, according to Mort, "... Where u gonna go, craiglist? ... There's nothing but crap on craigslist ..." Guess what - YOU GUYS ARE ON CRAIGSLIST !!! STRIKE 3, YOU're OUT!! SHOP AROUND AND STAY AWAY FROM THESE SNAKE OIL SALESMEN - DO YOUR HOMEWORK, FOLLOW YOUR INSTINCTS. I have never been treated so rudely and disrespectfully in my life. Went into Beach Buggies having done my research and told them my budget and needs, but told them straight up that I was shopping around today, but could buy something if it was a good fit. Shawn showed me a Jeep that had just come in the day before, I test drove it, liked it but was told they couldn't price it until they ran my credit and all that jazz. Didn't really want to do that, but felt pressured and really liked the jeep, so went ahead and provided my drivers license, social, and last two pay stubs, but was told I need my W2. Having just filed my taxes, I had my tax return on hand and asked if that would suffice. Was told that I needed the W2 regardless (isn't the tax return the exact same information as a W2?) Went back to my house to look for the W2, and remembered a couple other dealerships in town that I wanted to go look at. So, I called beach buggies to request that they price the vehicle for me so that I may compare while I'm shopping around, and then return there later with my W2 if that Jeep ended up being the best choice for me. Shawn proceeded to begin SCREAMING at me on the phone about how he had already wasted his time and didn't feel he could give me a price until he had my W2. Not even a ballpark figure, so that I might not waste MY time continuing to look at a vehicle that may well be out of my price range anyway. He then said that he was just trying to help me because I didn't "pay for my LAST vehicle anyway." I'm assuming he was referring to the few late payments I had made on my last car loan when I was much younger and a student in college. Having paid off that vehicle in good-standing, I felt his statement was ill-informed, rude, and wildly inappropriate, so I asked to speak with his supervisor. He said "Ma'am, I am the owner." I said that I didn't appreciate being treated so horribly when all I had asked for was an idea of what the price on the Jeep was, and would not be sending business his way. He said he didn't need my business, and "good luck finding another Jeep dealer in town, call me when you don't." Was then contacted by the accountant, Christine and asked why I didn't go ahead with the Jeep. I told her I had been treated badly by the owner and she said SHE was the owner and that Shawn was a newer salesman. (What?!) She then provided me with the price and it was out of my price range anyway. So, not only was I treated like dirt, but my WHOLE day had been wasted on a vehicle that I wouldn't have bought anyway. Tried to pull the old bait n' switch. They posted an ad on Craigslist for a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4dr 4wd hard top for $15995 on Oct 10. I e-mailed them and asked if it was still available and they said yes and it was currently in the Pre-sale phase and I could take it home today if I bought it. I was excited and drove the 2.5 hours to Fort Myers on Oct 16. When I got there, the salesman said the jeep was getting an oil change and he would have it returned back to the dealer immediately. When he pulled up, the hard top was replaced with a soft top and the sticker price was $20995. The salesman said that the craigslist price was the "as is" price before the dealer "touches her up." He told me to hop in and give it a whirl and I said I won't bother, I won't pay $20k for it. He told me to hold on a minute while he went to see what he could do with the price. While he was gone I had a look under the Jeep. It was rusted to hell underneath, although some people wouldn't be able to tell because they painted over it with black paint. I peeled some of the paint off on the frame and I instantly knew what they were trying to do. I had a look near the oil pan and there was built up oil all under the body too, so I suspected it had a pretty bad leak, so I just stopped looking. So their idea of "prepping for sale" is deceptively painting over the rust and replacing the hard top with a soft top and boosting the price by $5000. Oh yeah, and when the salesman left to find the Jeep, I had a look at his "cheat sheet" and the list price on his paper was $15,500. I had no problem apologizing for taking up the salesman's time and leaving to enjoy a nice day at the beach. I reviewed the ad again on Craigslist and they updated the Jeep's price to $18995. I'm 27 but I look 19, so I think they thought this was my first time. Well, this is my first time doing a yelp review, so I'd like to thank Beach Buggys for inspiring me. i want to start out by saying i know you cant please everyone and you will have some bad reviews but i am not one of those people who complains at all, so with that being said i bought a 2007 jeep wrangler from them about a year ago the day i picked it up i drove it off the lot literally 10 minutes later the check engine light popped on immediately called my sales man Mike who no longer works there told me it was probably just a censor no big deal brought it back they replaced the o2 censors engine light popped back on the next day after i picked it up called them back brought it in i told them bank 1 and 2 were showing up as a code error said it was the catalytic converter (i have been telling them this since day one by the way) brought it in and they replaced the catalytic converter i found out that the engine in the vehicle was not a jeep engine in fact came from a junk yard which they did not specify on my paper work or report to car fax they said it was not their responsibility to report it, it was the mechanic shops job then they told me they use 30 different places so she does not know which one did it which is a lie . i know for a fact who did it because they sent me there to pick it up when they replaced the o2 censors its the tire choice right around the corner from them you will see all of there jeeps at one point anytime of the day there so to sum it all up i do not know how such a dishonest place could still be in business so learn from my mistake an DO NOT BUY FROM these thieves read more

DO NOT do business with BEACH BUGGYS dealership in Fort Myers. We were there Saturday to purchase a jeep. We were offered a jeep price (including our trade with no $ down) and it was a little higher then we initially intended to pay so we walked. We returned to the dealership an hour later with an additional vehicle to trade (to lower the payment some) they refused to accept because the air bag has been deployed. Ok. So we leave the dealership and call back 20 mins later to tell them we will just take the original deal and now they're closed. So we wait till Monday morning, call back and let them know we're coming back for the jeep at the original price and we will be there after work to get it and sign. we get there and now the guy who gave us that deal and price has up and quit. According to them he never even processed our application although according to the guy we spoke to he actually ran it twice. AND he still has all our paystubs. They REFUSE to honor the price saying we now need $5000 down!!! When i called to speak to the "owner" i was given a "sales manager" who claimed to be one of two owners and then screamed at me saying he "doesn't take fucking yelling and fuck you" and hung up on me while i tried to express my frustration. When i called back and asked for the second owner, i received a "finance manager" that told me the owner is in actually Orlando, and that there was only ONE owner. And after RUDELY explaining told me "if the deal was so good you should have taken it then. Its not available to you anymore " mind you i did, but they were CLOSED. I hung up only to be called back by the same woman threatening me to not call the dealership again or she would call the police, um OK lady you called me.
