So we decided to sell the SUV. Mind you a car that just sat in the air conditioned garage. A car I just had ceramic coated. A car that literally doesn't have a ding or dent anywhere. And miles do low I'm embarrassed to even mention. It's cherry. This is our third car over the years we sold to Carmax. Again, such a smooth process. Wish I can give 0 stars. I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience with Jose at CarMax…read moreFt. Myers was incredibly disappointing. My fiancé and I came in ready to purchase a vehicle with a signed PSECU AutoDraft in hand. The only complication was that the co-signer was out of state. We were repeatedly told by Jose that there was "nothing we could do" unless we financed through CarMax. He claimed their e-sign system had been down for a month and insisted our only option was to switch financing. Not wanting to give up our 5% credit union loan without exploring other options, we left and started making calls ourselves. To our surprise, another CarMax location in Naples immediately offered solutions, including remote e-signatures and even FedExing documents if needed. That was incredibly frustrating to hear after being told so definitively that there were no alternatives. It made us feel like our outside financing wasn't being respected and that we were being pushed toward CarMax financing instead. As a pregnant customer trying to secure a safe family vehicle before our baby arrives, this experience added unnecessary stress to an already emotional and time-sensitive purchase. We understand policies exist, but the lack of effort to explore solutions or advocate for us was disappointing. I hope CarMax Ft. Myers better trains its staff on available options for customers using outside financing, because no customer should have to call another location to receive the help and answers they should have been given in the first place.

On July 27, 2026 I brought my 2025 Honda HR-V in for a rear spoiler issue. A service advisor…read morethreatened to punch me during the visit. Police were called. A service manager said he would respond within about 24 hours. He did not respond for a full week until I followed up. He said his reply had been sitting in his outbox unsent. On August 11, my 18-year-old son took the same vehicle in for the repair we had been told would be covered. The same service advisor who threatened me, was again the one who handled him. She recognized the vehicle, referenced me, and spoke to him rudely and aggressively. She initially claimed the repair was not covered. Only after I intervened by phone did she reverse herself. We were told the repair would take 1-2 hours. After almost three hours with no update we were told we had to wait to hear from that same advisor. While I understand delays happen, I was not willing to continue dealing with the same person who had already been hostile toward both me and my son. I called and spoke with a dealership manager. Immediately the car was finished, and the service manager I had been trying to reach all day finally responded. They did eventually complete the repair at no charge, but the way it was handled was unacceptable. An employee who previously threatened a customer should not still be interacting with that customer's family weeks later, and the dealership showed no real interest in addressing the situation.

WARNING: Deceptive Practices at AutoNation. should be Zero!…read more My experience here was a textbook example of why buyers need to be cautious. After test-driving a truck, we ran a diagnostic ODBC scan that revealed multiple engine misfires. When the manager Andrew Lesseur, took the vehicle back, he claimed his "odb code machine" showed nothing. However, when we re-scanned it ourselves, the codes had miraculously vanished. I called him out on clearly resetting the computer to hide the engine issues, and his reaction was unprofessional and very defensive. Got caught (POS) ! Hiding mechanical failures is dangerous and deceitful. I'm glad this wasn't my "first rodeo," or I might have been stuck with a lemon. Avoid this location. I appreciate the salesman was very helpful Mr. Fernandez. Wish you the best.

Their service department is incredibly slow and has issues repairing reoccurring problems on my vehicle. The multiple service advisors I have been assigned all give a run around about how long their diagnosis will take and tell me I don't understand the process. I had a 630 am appointment which I made over the phone describing my issues with my van. I finally got ahold of someone at 8 am after sitting on hold with their automated system just to tell me they have no idea why my vehicle is in the shop. The advisor said that the appointment isn't for my vehicle but it's to talk with an advisor about the issues and the vehicle may not be seen until this afternoon or tomorrow. They also told me to expect to be out of my vehicle for a week. There are a couple of issues but it's in for an oil change and tire rotation. Ac blowing hot, tpms light and a check engine light that they have serviced many times already. I tried them but I am going to have to take my business to another van provider because of continued service delays. Too bad the service department isn't the quality of their sales department.

I initially called the Honda dealer in Estero and did not like anyone I spoke to there. A friend of mine has an Acura and suggested I call Scanlon. So glad I did. I initially called and spoke to someone, but for whatever reason he told me someone else had to call me back to make an appointment, but never did. My friend told me to make an appointment online which I did. My service rep was Jose. Excellent customer service! No pressure, respectful and very professional. They had to order parts since they don't carry Honda parts. Rather than bring my car back and deal with my car potentially not starting and wait again, Jose set me up with a loaner for 4 days. Very much appreciated. Luckily, only one part had to be replaced which cost 40% less than it could have been. As I said, they didn't try to take advantage of me. They didn't force the inspection on me, I always decline anyway because dealers always find something. And washed my very filthy car! I think they may washed extra. Lots of bugs-long drive from Chicago, plus it was not clean to begin with. Anyway, if you have an Acura or even a Honda, definitely go to Scanlon!! Ask for Jose!

The sales process felt more focused on closing the deal than addressing my questions and concerns. The dealership has a nice showroom and a decent selection of vehicles, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. However, customer service after the initial interaction left a lot to be desired. I expected a smoother, more transparent experience from an Acura dealership. Hopefully they improve their communication and put more emphasis on customer satisfaction.

Was informed that the car had a couple of small oil leaks (to be expected) but that everything else was in working order. When the car arrived it was a complete disaster. They grossly misrepresented the car. As you can see from the photos, the engine smokes at idle, half of the engine isn't running and just blows fuel into the exhaust, The headliner was all destroyed from an undisclosed hole in the top, the door doesn't close properly, and in addition to a number of other problems, we found a large scratch and dent on the driver's door. This dealership is not to be trusted. I paid $14,700 ..they offered $8000 to buy the car back. Absolute scam artists.
