I discovered Be Bare on Instagram and decided to give it a try. I noticed it was a discount on Yelp so I bought it and booked online for a Brazilian wax.
Its located inside of an office building, being the very first business space as soon as you walk into the building so it was easy to find.
I was immediately greeted by a smiling face in which I later learned is Jasmine, the owner and also the wax technician.
First impression was pretty good, the space was clean and inviting. Soul and R&B music played in the background to set a relaxing vibe.
I would say though, she asked that I got undressed from the waist down (of course) while she was still in the waxing room. Even though she's about to be all in my business anyway, I probably would've felt less awkward as a first time patron if she would have asked for me to get undressed and lay on the bed, left the room for 30 seconds, and then return.
Nonetheless, I absolutely love my wax! First she used a steamer to open up the pores down there, which I really liked that she did. She was very intricate and thorough, making sure she left nothing behind. The pain was bearable, but this was my first wax in about a year so I wasn't expecting it to be too breezy. She was a sweetheart with conversation and personality. She made me feel comfortable during the process. After she finished, she used a certain product that helped close the pores as well, which I liked as well. I also liked that she articulated each step to keep me informed about what she was doing, even though she knew I had been waxed before.
All in all, I was very pleased and will continue going. I booked my next appointment upon leaving. I would definitely recommend Be Bare to others. read more
