Bank of America deceived me with this promotion, and they refused to pay me the incentive because my employer's method of direct deposit didn't qualify in their twisted definition. I spoke with several agents and managers about the problem, and they believe that the problem is that I am "sadly misinformed." This is not acceptable. I'll give them an extra star because the local employees, although unable to rectify this situation, are friendly.

My soon to be ex wife took all the money from that account and closed it without my consent. You (G1) allowed her to do that. I worked in finance for 30 years so let me tell you what you (G1) did. In California a financial institution can't close an account by law until you have let all account holders in writing acknowledge that account is closed. Only the primary borrower has authority to initiate closing an account. What you (G1) did with me is you closed an account that was court ordered so we in process of our divorce could pay bills from that account. You interjected yourself (G1) into my divorce proceedings in allowing her to commit a felony and steal my pension. Topping that off here it's a week later and I still haven't been notified by you that account is closed. Instead I get a solicitation E mail wanting more business from me. I have spoken to several people at G1 about this and no-one acknowledging this was wrong and in violation of the law. No-One and I repeat no-one should do business with a financial institution that does not adhere to the laws of California.

She got on the phone immediately with another manager at a different location. She made two calls to make sure everything was perfect to avoid any hiccups. Since it happens to be the only game in town, we decided on El Dorado Savings Bank. We started out making a small deposit to become established. After a short while our confidence grew, and we transferred over more into our savings and opened a safe deposit box. What a delight to be greeted with a smile and people know your name! The entire staff is friendly and professional. The absolute best part is this bank is dog friendly. On a late summer hot day we stopped in to do some business. We had all four of our dogs with us and I was dismayed that they needed both of us to complete paperwork. When Mr. S explained we didn't want to leave the dogs in the hot car, they invited them to come on in. It's one thing to bring one dog with you everywhere you go but seldom do we bring all of them and have them welcomed and fawned over. I love this bank!

Latela, who works for CSCU's Call Center is pure gold encrusted with gemstones. I have cancer and…read morework full-time but had to start working a second job to pay for an out-of-pocket medical treatment that really was helping me. For over 3 years I worked 7 days a week to earn enough to pay for it. I would send the medical facility money to put on my account and then go for treatment when there was enough. This worked well until I got too sick to go and finally had to ask for my money to be refunded. There was well over $5,000 on my account but they were rude and said it wasn't there and ended the call. I called CSCU and got Latela in the Call Center. She was so kind, and wanted to help but it had been well over a year since the medical institution has cashed my last check for $3,500. She tried everything but it was not possible to see who endorsed a check cashed that long ago. All I can say is she took a few days and must have jumped through unimaginable hoops and she emailed me every bit of info she could find to prove that the medical facility had indeed cashed my check. She said she regretted being unable to know how they would respond. Well, I sent them the information and they responded! They said they had put $3,500 into the wrong account in error and refunded all the money on my account! All in all, Latela saved me $5,500 that I can use for cancer treatment. I had been facing a deep, dark, desolate pit of hopelessness and I cannot even estimate how many hours she put into this, but Latela restored my hope. She is a priceless testament to the customer service and integrity of CSCU, and she will be priceless to anywhere she ever may work. From the bottom of my heart, CSCU, thank you for Latela. (Btw, the medical facility really, truly made an honest mistake, and were just a bit hasty to imply a long-time customer had suddenly tried to defraud them.) Still, without Latela, I would have lost years of hard, hard work and not been able to recoup my funds.
