I was so disappointed. I went there for a loan - the Okatie branch. I went in PERSON. I was told…read morethat I had to have an account t there for a YEAR before I could even apply for one. They didn't pull my credit, ask what I did for a living or what my income was. Just said "no" you don't have an account here. They didn't ask if I had ever had one - which I had -- to include a half million home loan through them and 20 years of military service - JUST NO. For the first time I needed some assistance. If anyone reads these which I doubt it would nice to have someone respond. I'm not a genius but this is not the way to run a business.

I would not trust United Community Bank to provide the services of domestic or international wires…read more They did not know what they were doing and lost over $400 of my money I was trying to have them wire to France. Now with the money gone, not received by the intended recipient, they refuse to take responsibility for their incompetence. Instead, they chose to blame me, and just walk away, "Too bad". When an organization advertises providing a service, you expect them to be able to do that. I had a history of banking with them for over 20 years, and they would rather lose my business than to cover the loss due to their incompetency. Needless to say, I have moved all my banking services. During this debacle, they would not return my phone calls, and when I would visit the bank, I would be given different stories as to why my money was lost, with assurances they would find it and get it back to me. Did not happen. Poor training, poor service, poor customer relations. Poor Bank. Use a different bank.

The First is now Renasant or whatever. So dunno exactly if this is the correct place to put this…read more But Renasant is the worst bank I've ever dealt with. Online banking app is utter trash, they just locked my account when I'm desperate to get my remaining cash for the month out and now I'm in a bad situation. The reason the account got locked? They're trash system of giving you a code you must use as an authenticator. I understand the purpose, but if the system is trash, then it won't work as it should. I will be changing banks. The First was good, never a single issue. But this? Yea, I'm done with dealing with their trash service.
