We are looking for a new vet and we saw this one, so we thought we'd reach out and ask about their services. For context, we have a healthy young dog, but an older dog with a few issues but it's not too extensive. Basically we almost lost him a few years ago but our old vet saved him and has had him on a good run since. We want quality care and we are nervous about finding someone else. I'm still so grateful to Dr. Allen for his help when my cat, Monkey, was just 3 weeks old. His expertise and knowledge prevented Monkey from having to suffer with ringworm for a longer time than necessary. I originally visited another vet from Petco the day after we found Monkey, however, due to their negligence, they completely missed his signs of ringworm. Luckily, I had the foresight to get a second opinion, but not after Monkey started showing red rashes all over his body, and started balding. Thanks to Dr. Allen and his efficiency, I was able to get Monkey started on his treatment as soon as possible, and now he's 22x the size he was when he first came in! I'm here monthly to check electrolyte levels for my girl. The office is always spotless and smells clean, I'm always greeted with a smile and my dog is always greeted as well. Probably why she always walks right in! She just gets a simple blood draw most visits so the take her in the back and she always goes right with the tech and she's always calm and unstressed when she returns a few minutes later. Dr. Benitz is one of the best veterinary doctors in existence, period. I've been seeing her for my cats (now one senior cat) for over 10 years. She was at another clinic before, and when she joined Bayview recently, I followed her without question. I did try another vet briefly for some testing because they were closer to where I live and the car ride is always stressful for my cat. But they couldn't come close to the love, care and professionalism that Dr. Benitz offers. If it takes an extra 20 minutes in the car, it's absolutely worth it. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Allen as my veterinarian at a different hospital and discovered that he had opened his own practice. I made an appointment for a checkup for my cat, and had such a positive experience. They provided clear instructions on how to locate the hospital and got me checked in and in the room super fast. After taking our dog to our previous Animal Hospital during the past 4 years, our dog's Veterinarian, Dr. Marco, DVM, and another colleague recently opened up their own veterinary practice. We were excited since Bayview Veterinary Clinic (BVC) is closer to us. It's located in a mixed use commercial/residential building in Mission Bay. There's a ton of underground parking, and since it's brand new, it's like a brand new car! Everything looks nice, smells nice, and our dog has her same familiar Vet who's treated her since she was 3 months old. BVC has everything our old veterinary clinic had (online Rx formulary, great staff, clean office/exam rooms, they can perform early cancer screening, etc.). The best vet experience I've ever had! From the moment you walk in, you are met with a beautifully designed and modern office. The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming and are true animal lovers. I really liked how there are TheraPet calming pheromones in every electrical plug-in throughout the office. My first visit was with Dr. Kaleka who provided one of the most comprehensive exams that I've ever witnessed. My dog is a bit nervous at vet visits and everyone was incredibly understanding and sweet. At our second visit, my dog walked into the office with no apprehension, which has never happened before. Great so far! We brought our 11 year old cat for what we thought was a mechanical issue and expected an X-ray, which is what he suggested and we agreed. Dr. Marco did a thorough exam and told us about the latest mABs treatment for this condition, meaning the drugs will be easier on his internal organs with less side effects.
