This place is the absolute worst, stay away. We had 11 am reservations. We arrived early, around 10:35am just to be safe. The registration area was very unorganized, the life vest fitting area was a mess, nobody knew what was going on. They sent us down the pier then back to the waiting area then back down to the dock where we waited another 25 minutes. Such a disorganized mess that we didn't get out on our jet skis until 12:15pm. About 12 minutes into our ride some employee comes racing at us head on freaks out my 6 year old daughter and tells me my time is up...ummm, I paid for a full hour and I've been out less than 15 minutes dude. I was wearing a dive watch so I was paying attention to the time. An argument ensued and they made me leave and VERY disrespectful in front of my 6 year old daughter. Employees were all fairly rude, some more than others, mainly a guy named George. I asked for a refund but he refused. I've already opened a dispute with bank credit card company. In addition to what I mentioned above the course sucks, they make you do circles in the bay...very boring even after just 3 laps. I would not recommend this place, spend your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Anyone who wants to go to this place should know this before going because I didn't. Be aware that you will not be out on the water at the time of your reservation. We spent 45 minutes sitting on the dock waiting to go on the jet ski. This place also has restrictions on where you can go. The area you can drive in is very small. They also put a huge group out there and you couldn't go as fast to experience the power of the jet ski because you would end up near someone and the safety guy would come and yell at you because you are to close. Cant take tight turns and spray water because you're not allowed to. The staff was pretty chill and not bad. Overall I think no matter what it's always a fun time on a jet ski. If you're looking for a safe place or are an inexperienced driver on a jet ski then I'd recommend this place. Customer service was great. However, if you want more freedom on the jet ski or are a more experienced driver then I would recommend to look somewhere else. read more

I was less than impressed with our visit to Bayview Marina Jet Ski. Prices are a bit expensive too, at $80 plus tip for a half hour rental. We made a reservation and showed up 20 minutes before our allotted time as we were instructed to. We were also prompted to wear masks inside the facility and staff indoors wore them too. Upon arrival, we filled out paperwork, showed drivers licenses and waited to watch an instructional video in order to drive the jetskis. Our reservation time was for 11am. The drivers in our group did not watch the video until 11:30am, 30 minutes AFTER the start of our reservation (also remember we arrived 20 minutes PRIOR to 11am). Once you went outside of the facility, all COVID protocols went out the window. There were over 50 people on the deck, no indications on the boardwalk of where to stand to grab your life jackets, no line, no system and people everywhere with no masks, including staff. People were on top of us. There was one girl handing out life vests with her mask half off. They had sanitizing spray for the life jackets out, but we watched her pick up dirty life jackets from the floor that the we had also watched the previous group use, and hand them to us, unsanitized to use. They may normally use the sanitizer, but there were clearly too many people there that they couldn't keep up with and manage the demand. We were then instructed to wait at the end of the dock where we were with at least 30 other people (3 large families including our own) and 3-4 staff members with no masks, on a small portion of the dock seated/ standing within close proximity of one another. Once on the jetskis, you were also less than 6 feet from on another as you could touch one another with your foot. One jetski had gum on it where you're supposed to put your feet, the other had hair, and the third one had a broken "glove box" if you will. By the time we got on our jetskis at the dock, it was 11:45 am. At this point we had been there for over an hour, hadn't gone out yet, and only had a half hour rental so we spend more time there waiting than doing anything else, even with reservations. We were instructed out to the course but there were so many people going at once that you could barely even ride or had to frequently stop. There were also other boats etc going through the course. Overall, save your money and ride somewhere else. This place was unorganized, and either understaffed or under managed with the demand of riders. If you have the extra time to spend waiting, are an inexperienced driver, or don't mind having people constantly around you then this is your place. We will not be coming back. read more

She raised her voice for no reason to customers, including ourselves, about their policy. Working in customer service, this behavior was unacceptable. Needless to say, $85 and 2.5 hours later of waiting and feeling completely disrespected, we were left with a sour taste in our mouth. Bayview jetskis is my go to!!! I rent every summer with my family in ocnj, and our first activity is always jet skiing. The desk girls are very nice and helpful, as they calmed down my cousins who came for the first time. Walking down the dock we were greeted by my favorite employee at Bayview, which is George. All the jet ski boys are super nice and funny! Highly recommend to come here :) read more

Staff need training! While driving our boat north in the ICW, your employees cut in front of us with a trail of people following him. After slowing down, because clearly they don't know the laws of the water, he doubled back and told the rest of his trail to stop, only to come behind us and flip us off! Would give it zero stars if it let me. Called for reservations (two 3' person wave runners) but they told me "it just became too rough for a 3 person wave runner". Funny because other People in my party had just rented 3 person wave runners and others (without reservations) got 3 person wave runners right before us too. Did I mention that its $20 cheaper per hour with reservations so my reservations meant nothing when they could rent to people without reservations for more money! Too windy my a$$, they overbooked and were still taking walkups and were out of 3 person wave runners. Also, Place was sweltering hot with a huge line (even if u had reservations) and 2 teenagers trying to keep up and a do nothing adult sitting in a chair doing nothing. Jet skis were very nice. Course was ok. Only gave 2 stars because the time was off by 7 minutes and when you pay for 30 minute ride times 2 rentals , comes out to being charged an extra 44 bucks. I have a Garmin and started my watch as soon the jet ski was launched into water and stopped it as soon as pulled into dock. I found it unfair and should have said something at the time but did not want conflict and to make a scene. The staff at counter were super nice and so was "supervisor". Not about being nice, but giving the time you paid for. We go to ocean city every year and will not go back because of this. I actually think I should have stopped it as soon as he put his hand up and called us in so probably being a little too generous saying it was off by 7 minutes. Actually probably closer to 10 minutes short. Huge difference . Hopefully company will read review and reach out and make it right. read more

We went here to jet ski, it was my first time. My husband and boys came along. They had us watch a short video and then were very good at explaining how everything works. I felt very comfortable going out. I don't like that they hold on to a cash deposit while you are out, but I get it. They also didn't help with getting life vests, although we figured it all out on our own. The only thing that really bothered me was trying to get someone's attention when my 5 yr old and I were over it and ready to go in. One of the worst client service i've ever seen , the jetski monitors were very cool compared to the girls at the reception, they don't smile , are not polite and they serve you with attitude. You pay the rental at the beginning which is normal , then they take 200$ (100$ each jetski ) deposit on your card and never give it back to you, they literally ROBBED ME 200$ . it' been a month ... i've contacted them multiple times and i'm still waiting for my reimbursement. read more

I have never written a review before, but I feel future customers should be warned to not waste their time or money at this place! We had reservations booked days in advance and after waiting over 2 hours they still didn't have available jet skis or even life jackets for us. We were told it would be another 45 minutes to an hour due to the fact that the weather had been bad the day before & everyone that canceled showed up today. Therefore, those of us who had reserved jet skis had to wait--which we did, from 11 to 1pm! The girls working had zero customer service, acting as if we were bothering them, & when we asked for our money back they said they don't give refunds. We did get our money, but we also wasted most of our day & when you're on vacation that time is precious. I just read the reviews for this place, & I should've looked before. My Son and I had an 11:00 reservation but arrived an hour and a half early, they moved our reservation to 10:00 which we appreciated! Every staff member we encountered was very nice and friendly. We watched a quick safety video, received our safety vests and brief instruction on how to safely operated the Jet Skis and were in the bay in no time. It was early so we were fortunate to be in a small group which was nice not having too many people to watch out for while riding. My Son was very happy with the trip. 30 minutes was long enough for me, the ride area was a reasonable size. Alex and the other instructors were very attentive and safety conscious but weren't overly critical of our driving as long as we were being safe and following the safety rules! I stopped way out to take a few pictures and I believe it was Alex that came right out almost immediately to check on me to make sure everything was alright! Came to Atlantic city at end of June 2014. Def wanted to jet ski since I've done it only once before and wanted to do it again. However the only place that seemed to have jet skis was in ocean city. About 25-30 min away. Basically there are 2 places right next to each other and offer same price for their services ( jet skis parasailing other water sports) and I only chose bayview bc if I wanted to do the jet ski/parasailing combo it would be at one location. From all the reviews on yelp it seemed like no one gave a thorough review of either place and on top of that there was nothing recent. So I decided to just try it. All in all my gf and I decided just to go the jet ski for an hour which we got for 75 and then an added 10 since we both wanted to drive. They gave us a good instruction and practice run on where to go and left us to go on our own pace. The track is a giant square and we just go In a circle in the square. Some ppl (more experienced drivers) feel like that's boring and not fun at all but if you're like me (just a beginner) it was great and had a fun time. An hour is more than enough too. Going to other parts in the water would be nice but I didn't mind it still. Had a great experience there overall. read more

Called about 10 times over 2 hours from 3 different phones, none of our calls were answered. Had to go in in person to make our reservation, with slow and RUDE customer service. When we arrived at our reservation time, the lady at the front desk had a major attitude and was unclear about the rules from the beginning, so we didnt even end up jetskiing. My family and I had such an awful experience here yesterday. We arrived at 1 o clock, my sister in law had made a reservation for 11 people. When we got there they stated they didn't have our reservation. The blonde girl at the counter told us come back at 2:30 you can ride for an hour at the price of a half hour ride. When we arrived back she stated she never said that. My family was clearly frustrated because they know what she said. At the end of it all she stated I really don't want to serve you guys any way. From the begging to end it was an awful experience. It was written all over her face that she didn't like us. Great experience & a must if u have never tried it. Although I'm not the greatest swimmer, I tried this just to say I lived a little and I'm glad I did . Upon entering everyone was nice , it was a quick walk through of what would be expected but I didn't ask much questions and just went with the flow.did the ride for an hour 65$ for a driver and passenger total, it was a deal they said . Ended up here on a whim with the wife and 3 young boys to rent some wave runners. Was told they had a slot available for us in an hour and we set a reservation. Place is easy to find and street parking was a cinch. Came back a little early in case their was paperwork etc. Refundable security deposit was only $100/ machine which seemed cheap to me. Completed paperwork then stood around for a long time waiting for staff girl to start safety video. Weer pointed out back to find our own well worn, mildewed life vests and find our way to the end of the dock. 10 minutes past our reservation at this point. Was told to have a seat. The couple next to us had been waiting and were 40 min past their reservation. There was a variety of staff personalities. Some were busy checking social media on their phones while customers were waiting. Some seemed a little more conscientious. Some could be overheard griping about customers. Eventually got on our skis about 30 min late while the staff fueled them up. Equipment was in good shape and ran well. Also, fuel was included in the rental price. Our hour didn't start until we cleared the dock. Probably the highest praise I have for our experience. The riding area was a buoyed off rectangle about 2 miles around. Sounds big until you get what had to be 20+ skis running between two rental houses. We were relegated to riding counterclockwise around the outer perimeter of the rectangle for an hour. The chop created by that many skis was UNBELIEVABLE! Would not pay to do this again. I've done a lot of riding on borrowed and rented machines and this just wasn't fun. Waited a while to get checked out, but the place was crowded and as previously mentioned, not all of them were focused on customers. read more

Took just about 2 hours to get out on the water on top an employee enjoying a smoke in between lectures. We sat in the blazing sun for an hour of the two waiting for other jet skis to come in. The coarse for riding is awful. The micro-management from beginning to end was insulting and the customers service was pitiful. I would not recommend this place. They were not helpful answering our questions and accommodating our group. While trying to figure out the best way to rent for our group of 10, the lady was very condescending and rude. They tried to get our service by lying by to us when we threatened to leave. I had a wonderful experience at BayView Marina which was in a relief after a miserable time last year at at another Ocean City Jet Ski rental. Bayview Marina however had some of the nicest individuals working for them. Great instructions and very informative which made our family feel safe even though we were experienced. Employee/ tour guide used his waverunner to purposely shoot water at my girlfriend and I when questioned about our wrong doing. Being a boat owner myself I am very familar with the ideals of boating traffic etc. When questioned about the situation the tour guide became very aggressive and started speaking to me as if I was a child. If you do not want someone to do something simply because the people around you are lacking experience, that is fine. However, getting upset over someone questioning you and then choosing to possible cause harm to them by using your waverunner to shoot water at their face is an absolute joke. One of us could have been seriously injured if we were hit directly in the eye. This is not a joke and is a prime example of how lawsuits arrise. read more

Our kids booked their first jet ski trip ever at this place, we made a reservation the night before and they asked for our credit card. when the guys showed up they unknowingly went to the place next door, Wet and Wild which was super nice, accepted the reservation and coupon. Bayview Marina called and said you didn't show up we are charging your credit card and they did! $139.10 and we never even saw their jet skis. the place is a ripoff please send your friends and family elsewhere! Avoid this place at all cost. They will sell you on having newer equipment but who cares. The management is horrible. They never tell you about the 90 min wait on the dock. Inside the girls tell you jet skis are available immediately yet they have no clue what's actually going on in the water or on the dock. Once you get to the dock thy are unorganized and confused. i have spent my July 4th in Atlantic city, NJ and we decided to take a jet ski rental so we have checked with many places and all of them said that they are fully booked. However this place at Bayview as we walked in they were very nice and told us that they do have 4 skis available NOW, but as we paid out in full the fun started, first you wait 15 minutes to see a video then you wait another 20 minutes to get a another lesson from a very nasty and rude instructor, then we have to wait an hour for a ski to come back, we literally had to wait 2 hours hour for our 30 minute rental, while of those that came after us went before is with the answer that they had a phone reservation and we walked in...Lol ...and when we complained they said well this isn't that bad for july 4'...Really??? be honest and say that we will have to wait so we would never wasted out time. instead they say that they have rentals now, and let you wait 2 hours. OMG what a bad experience...STAY AWAY!!! read more

After making a group reservation for a party of 6, arriving 30 mins before the reservation, being told while paying that we were definitely on schedule for our reserved time, our party didn't make it on to jet skis until a full hour after our reservation time. Management was immediately and extremely hostile to any attempts to voice a complaint and actually told me to leave their building when I tried to complain - all while continuing to hold my credit card which had been put down as collateral for the rentals. I was told the delay wasn't their problem and they were busy helping new customers (People whose money they hadn't pocketed yet). Totally unprofessional, but in all a good business model when dealing with tourists - their business doesn't rely on repeat customers so management feels no need to be polite to customers once they've taken their money. Ignored us upon checking in for our parasailing and jet skiing reservations, were quoted a rate over 100 dollars cheaper on the phone, they lost my car keys, were total gymbags to our faces, and refused to acknowledge their arrogance. The Ocean City Chamber of Commerce needs to step in and do something about this business! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
