Absolutely fell in love! I just relocated from Miami to Pensacola a few months ago and lucked out when a local mentioned this dog beach/park - sayy whattttttt?! I honestly did not have the highest of hopes but man-o-man this place is amazing! This review (obviously) focuses on the dog parks but they are too good to not review them. There are 2 dry land dog parks - one for big and one for small dogs and they are both sizable and look like they're super fun for our four-legged friends. Then there is the DOG BEACH! It is AMAZING. Huge open space for the dogs to run, a whole fenced-in area of beach dedicated to our little buds, I absolutely love coming over here for a visit. The view is fantastic as well. Just wow - thank you East Hill (I think that is the correct name of that part of town)

Mainly checked this park out for the tennis courts but I was positively surprised with all the different features. There's a dog park, kayak and paddle board rentals, a small area to work out in, handful of picnic areas, playground area, I mean the the list goes on. It's well kept and the surrounding neighborhood is very quiet and welcoming. There's plenty of tennis courts as well but does tend to get very crowded from 5-7 pm. Overall, I think this is a beautiful family/kid/dog friendly park to visit if you want to enjoy the scenery and fresh air. Also, for the photographers out there, this is such a convenient and perfect little place to get some shots in. There was tons of places where you could set up and get quite a view!!

Awesome park! Not a lot of shade but fantastic for all ages!!!

This park is between the bathrooms next to the bay and a tennis court. If you're driving down there's a water area (on the right) that is super dog friendly then keep driving, f need in dog park on left. Keep driving to a parking lot and it does t look like much, but it's a fantastic park. Only not a lot of shade so super hot In the sun.

Word of warning - take heed of ALLLLLL the negative reviews!!! Absolute predatory practices - they…read morewill not respond to you when you have an issue, they have uncertified trainers and not enough classes. On August 25, 2025, I signed a 1-month membership contract with Pensacola Athletic Center (HS #14997) and paid $107.49 by credit card. The signed contract includes the cancellation rights under Florida Statute § 501.017 (the Health Studio Act). On August 27, 2025, within the 3 business day cancellation period, I delivered a written cancellation notice (which I sent via email and certified mail). Despite this, the gym failed to acknowledge or act on my cancellation. They did not confirm cancellation, did not refund or void charges, and subsequently adjusted my account to show a "past due" balance of $157--an amount higher than the original contract price. This is now somehow a past due balance of $166.50 and the only communication I get is that they are going to send this to collections. The gym has never provided a legitimate explanation, has not responded to my certified correspondence, and continues to assert I owe fees. This conduct violates Florida's Health Studio Act, including the statutory requirement to refund amounts when cancellation is timely. I have since requested that FDACS investigate this matter, require the gym to confirm cancellation in writing, correct its records, and refund any improper charges. Avoid at all costs, there is also no way to delete your information from the app (and the app is absolutely worthless).

Being consistent at the gym has never been easier. Moving to Pensacola was my first experience…read moremoving away from my hometown, it was daunting to leave behind all of my friends and family. It takes time to make friends in new places and I knew the first few months would be hard. But, I quickly found friendly faces at Pensacola Athletic Center. The staff remembered my name after my first visit, always make a point to say hello/goodbye and make conversation in passing. Little did they know, this carried me through some of my more lonely months. In addition to staff, I quickly made friends with a lot of fellow athletes and gym goers & after a month of attending regularly, being consistent was never easier. I looked forward to hard workouts and pushing myself as that is the culture here. I've never quite felt like I had a gym home like this one. We're moving again in a couple of months and this has become the hardest place to say goodbye to. I even broke my elbow a few months ago and I continued to show up on all of my regular days just to do what I could. I knew I could rely on my peers to help me load weight onto machines, and I was right, people were quick to offer a hand. Oh - and the gym is really nice. There are 4 racks accompanied with deadlift platforms that are rarely all full, when they are, the wait is never too long. They've renovated it since I've joined and hosted plenty of events. They've slowly rolled new equipment in to replace old equipment. & the gym is never completely packed. There are times it's busier, but never unbearable.
