I was fetching bubble tea from Comebuy and noticed that downtown Markham has a Canada Post. Nice!…read more This post office occupies the space where TD Canada Trust used to be. The automatic doors were too sensitive when it was a bank. I'd round the corner, fairly far from the entrance, and the doors would open for me. Nooo! This post office location is closed on weekends. It was nice walking by the main entrance this evening without the doors opening up. It's street parking. I normally don't have difficulty finding a spot. However, if you can't find anything, you can park where the condos are just north of this Canada Post. There are marked visitor spots. I looked through the glass like the curious person that I am. If you are renting a mailbox, you have access to it at all hours. There are many boxes and sizes, depending on your needs. There are parcel boxes that require a key to access a box. There's also a mailbox that built into the wall. Current hours of operation are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. It's like it's still a bank! It's closed on statutory holidays. It's Victoria Day tomorrow, so there's no postal services here, for instance. It's a nice addition to Markham to have a standalone Canada Post. Most of the time, you have one within either a Shoppers Drug Mart or something different, like a gift shop at Warden and Highway 7. I dig it this new Canada Post. I can't wait to check it out when it's open on a weekday. (156)

This review is for their 420 Hwy 7 location…read more If i could give zero stars to this location I would, Made the mistake of going to this location which is located within a pharmacy on 27Apr 0945. Only 1 customer at counter when I arrived so I thought OK it won't be a lenghty wait, boy was I wrong. The staff behind the counter proceeded to spend the next 15mins talking to the customer/friend about their pet birds and carpeting. My friend loudly stated "why is this taking so long", they totally ignored the comment and proceeded to continue their converstation when the customer line grew longer. As I understand it, this staff is not a government worker but actually is a staff of the pharmacy of this location (probably a relative, nepotism rears it's ugly head). Based on similar customer reviews of this horrendous staff with no concept/caring of customer service, how can the owner allow this to continue type of poor service to contine. I should have taken a photo of this staff but it's only one staff so you know who you are, how can you go to sleep at night knowingly inconvenienceing customers, shameful. The pharmacy management should be put on blast. I would recommend you look up the definition of customer service and practice in front of a mirror until you get it right

All have been easy and quick and I'm an old grump who prefers things to be quick and simple. Even the lineups have moved quickly. On my last visit to the counter, I was made aware of a shipping discount I would have otherwise missed - very helpful (and friendly) staff indeed.

If this was a review for the people who work in the pharmacy area, and the lovely ladies and young…read morepeople who work at the post office area and cash registers it would be easily a 5 star review. However, like that saying about one bad apple... there is an older man (I would never use the word gentleman), who I believe may be named Dave, but I'm not sure and he is, for lack of a better word, offensive to say the least. I have lived next to and shopped weekly for over 15 years at this Shoppers Drug Mart location, including picking up all my prescriptions. Today I was in picking up a few things and noticed vitamins on sale and decided to try them. At the checkout they came up at a different price so the lovely lady at the cash went and checked and agreed they were on sale. They were on the very top shelf so it was difficult to see or read the tag and honestly due to my eyesight I would need a ladder and my reading glasses to get close enough to read all the print on the shelf tag. The lady on the cash mentioned to the older man about the price discrepancy and he went off to check. When he came back, he yelled at me in front of the line of people, one of them who lives in my building, that they were not on sale and accused me of changing the price tag. I was shocked and absolutely horrified. I have never done anything like that, and I never would. I was so upset I almost started to cry, which I did when I got home. I am now too embarrassed and traumatized to set foot in that store again, and I am so embarrassed to see neighbours in my building, who now think I am capable of doing something like that thanks to this horrible human being. I am not even sure what to do about picking up my medication. I feel like I need to write to the Shoppers Drug Mart head office, not that it would probably do any good, but no one should be treated like this, I'm devastated.

In general, I really like Shoppers Drug Mart. Because this location is smaller than most, they…read moredon't carry all the items I want. For example, their selection of food is extremely limited. On more than one occasion, the cashier is missing in action. I've rung the bell but the cashier doesn't materialize quickly or apologize when she finally shows up. I like that they offer a 20% discount on regular priced items every Thursday to anyone 55 and older with a PC optimum card. However, many items are sale priced on Thursdays (usually less than 20% off) so the seniors discount is not applicable. They have a post office at the back which is handy for free Amazon pickups. There's lots of parking in this busy parking lot.

Small and busy shop. This is one of the only UPS locations that is open on Sundays. There was only…read moreone person working, and 4 customers as soon as the shop opened. Pack your patience, it wasn't the most efficient experience, though I appreciate the availability. When I dropped off my package, the associate took the box, but nothing was scanned, so, now I'll be refreshing my tracking number to ensure that it's marked as received. The shop itself was a bit messy, parcels were placed in front of the counter, in the middle of the open space where customers would stand, as well as stacked behind.

My kids Christmas Gift cards were delivered and handed to reception at this location but Shima told…read moreme they do not have the package. Later, we found out the cards were cashed and we don't know by whom. I had a mailbox at this location for a few years, because of their awful service I moved my mailbox to somewhere else. One of my old friends did not know about my change of address and sent two Amazon Gift Cards to my address at this location for my kids. The Amazon tracking number shows "Package was handed to a receptionist Signed by: Security". When we visited the store they said they did not have the package. We asked them to try to find it as it shows it was handed to the receptionist. I called a few times the day after and Shima told me I do not have a mailbox over there and if I had a mailbox they could have put my package in my mailbox. I explained to her they were not supposed to accept the package if I did not have a mailbox and it should have been marked to return to the sender. But since they accepted my package I needed to pick it up. But she kept saying they do not have that package. I explained the situation to my friend who sent the gifts, he called Amazon customer service to block both gift cards from being claimed but he was told both cards were already claimed by someone else. Amazon did not provide any name to us obviously but they know who did it and opened a case with their legal department for this fraud and they will update my friend soon. I can not make accusations but here is what happened. They accepted my package and signed for it, the package was lost after delivery, and the gift cards were claimed at someone's Amazon account that we don't know. The reasons I moved my mailbox from this location: - They could not find my packages 50% of the time (yes, 50% believe it or not). They were telling me it is still on the way while I was showing the tracking number to them that shows the package was delivered. Every time after I came back home, after a few hours they had called me and said that my package had just been delivered. So, I had to make an extra trip to pick it up. - Per UPS store policies when you have a package that does not fit in your mailbox, they are supposed to scan so you receive an automated email that you have a package to pick up. Every UPS store in North America does this except this location. I asked them a couple times and they said they do not do that. - Every time I went to pick up my package an hour after delivery, the owner told me the package had not been delivered yet. He was telling me not to believe the tracking numbers progress, when it says delivered means UPS has the package and is on the way. What ???!!! Many times I waited there until he looked for it everywhere and he came back with the package from the back and said he found it. - If I wanted to send something with UPS, it was a 40 minutes project, the same thing in other UPS stores takes 5 minutes. The owner does not know how to use a computer in my opinion and when he was alone at the store you could always see a long line with people rolling their eyes and tired, waiting for him to get their job done. I did not have the option to put 0 stars. They do not deserve 1 star at all.
