In December of 2024, I charged $2,541.96 on my American Express for dental work to be scheduled and performed at Tampa General Hospital by Dr. Donato. Unfortunately, the patient passed away in February before the procedure was even scheduled. The patient was my brother, for whom I was the legal guardian and CDC+ Representative. I contacted Dr. Donato's office at least three times to request a refund for services that were not scheduled or needed. However, each time I was met with evasive responses. Eventually, I provided the office with a deadline date for the refund, which has since passed without any reimbursement from Dr. Donato's office. The office expressed uncertainty about whether the refund was being directed to the correct person. The correct person is the one who made the initial payment, which is myself. I submitted legal guardianship documents along with my brother's death certificate to support my claim. Dealing with this situation, along with grieving the loss of my brother, has been deeply painful. The positive aspect is that American Express has exceptional customer support. Within 24 hours of submitting a dispute, American Express applied the credit to my account. It should be noted that Dr. Donato's office did not initiate the refund. I will continue to advocate for the developmentally disabled community. Not all individuals with special needs have someone to protect them from potential exploitation. Lifetime Smiles, Dr. Donato, and your office staff: you should reconsider your business practices concerning the special needs community. My nonverbal brother had an advocate, and his rights will be respected. read more

I had been looking for new dentist for years , and learned a lot about knowing exactly what I don't want in a dentist , I could go to 3 different dentist and they would all have something different to tell me was wrong . I never felt like any of them were being honest , they just wanted the $$ and it was clear. Our last dentist told my husband he had 2 very deep cavities, I was skeptical to say the least . After coming to life time , they told my husband his teeth were great and no cavities.... what kind of Dentist tells a patient a lie about there health to make more $$. And my self having lots of dental work and issues over the years I would have panic just going to see what the next expensive treatment plan I was going to be handed. And I was told by couple dentist that a partial would not look right or work for me, that I had to have sinus lift and bone put in first who the heck can afford that ???? Coming here has been a huge weight lifted off my shoulders and I am finely excited to have prettier smile after I get this partial they said would work for me. And they don't make me feel stupid or like I'm a baby for my big dental phobias, needles , lack of pain tolerance, they used there gas that I asked for to help calm me. I pray they don't leave Sarasota or move. He's young dentist and seems very on top of cutting edge dentistry, very down to earth and honest, also great office staff . read more

Bad experience-very unprofessional! I had only gone to see Dr. Druskat once before and the appointment was fine. Then when my next appointment came due just 2 hours before my time, I got a call from his office asking me to come in earlier. I said I could not because I had to stay at work having already made arrangements with my boss to stay until right before my appointment. The staff girl was very rude, sighing loudly and acting as if I were inconveniencing her! She then called back again and tried to switch me to the next day, which I coudldn't do. She then called back one more time to say my appointment was cancelled because the doctor did not want to wait around for me because they did not have any other patients coming in before me! Lifetime Smiles Dental Care of Sarasota is a very special place and so glad it was recommended to us! Dr. Donato did all the dental work needed by my older daughter with Down Syndrome. Excellent work and her teeth look so nice now! You can tell Dr Donato has a special heart for special needs people. First time visiting the dentist since Covid19 and first time visiting this office per a recommendation. The staff was so friendly and I was seen immediately! Both visits! I felt safe and comfortable. Dr. B was attentive and listened to my concerns with care. Kim Nevins their hygienist was amazing! The absolute best cleaning I've ever gotten! Incredibly thorough, she really took her time! My entire first experience with Lifetime Smiles was great! Filled out all the forms online before hand, so when I got there, we began immediately. The Front Desk staff, my dental assistant and Dr. B, were all very friendly, welcoming and professional! My and husband and I have much work to be done, (as we hadn't been to the dentist since Covid)! It's unheard of ... I enjoy going to the dentist because this group of people is friendly, welcoming, efficient, knowledgeable and professional. Dr. B evaluated a filling that I thought was eroding and in need of replacement. His honest assessment was that the filling was secure and intact; what I felt was the margins of the filling on my tooth. OK - who knew that could happen. Plus, timely appointments! I love this practice and all staff so nice and helpful. I was new to the area and had bad tooth pain. I was able to get an appointment right away. Dr Hale has a great bedside manor and talks you through the process. No hassles with the insurance. Wait was under 10 minutes. Love this office definitely recommend this practice. read more
