I made arrangements through my insurance to have my car towed to Sturgeon Bay as nothing was open on the peninsula. The pickup was scheduled for 10:30am. Like clockwork DC Automotive towing showed up @ 10:3am. The driver called and informed me he was there to pick up my car. When I came out of the lobby he was already hooking up a Honda Accord to the flatbed tow truck. The only problem is it wasn't my Honda Accord lol . After letting him know and showing Seth the right car he hooked it up (my car) and brought it the the drop off lot in Sturgeon Bay. Can you imagine the other person coming out & finding their car gone (too funny ). Maybe not for them. I rode into Sturgeon Bay w/Seth and found out he has accomplished an amazing amount in his short 20 year life including being the owner of this towing company & having a 2 other jobs. My first trip to Kevin's was exactly right. They completed my oil change and fluid check. I had a rattling sound in my car that they quickly diagnosed as nothing more than bad tires- which I suspected/hoped. With a rattling there is the opportunity for an unscrupulous mechanic to make up some additional problems to inflate your service and bill. Kevin's did not do that. They were very straight forward. They gave me four options for replacing the tires and sent me away to think about it- no pressure. I will be replacing the tires on my next trip to Sturgeon Bay and as a bonus, I will get free tire rotations for the life of the tires! Kevin's has a new customer and I will recommend them to others!

Chose LeFevre because they were closest but also because they had 5 positive reviews on Google. I was surprised there was no Discount Tire or Tires Plus in Sturgeon Bay but LeFevre was it. Drove on my half flat, they were busy but brought my car in right away. Couple things, first they weren't too pleased about Fix-a-Flat because "it is messy" but they dealt with it. It was either Fix-a-Flat or pay for towing 25 miles. Second, Monday's are typically busy for them due to scheduled appts so you might want to call ahead which I didn't do. All told, I arrived, they got me in quickly, were done in 30 minutes and charged me under $25. While they aren't overly friendly, they were efficient and inexpensive. I would recommend. :)

ON THE ENVELOPE it has car type, issue for repair, and phone number of owner. I asked why hadn't he called to inform us about the car and that he can't repair it or have time for it. It sadly seems like a lot of Door County businesses. Behind the facade of a vacation wonderland, the local full time residents have to deal with high priced, mediocre mom and pop businesses.

WWARNING! WARNING!…read more DON NOT BUY A NEW CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!! I bought a Chevy Bolt from them with a five year bumper to bumper warranty and they refuse to honor it. They tell me that since they changed from Olson to Patriot they are not EV compliant, even though they SELL Silverados! It is the same store, same shop same staff. They even replaced the battery on my Bolt when I bought it, so I know they are equipped to work on it. Here is the kicker. I need the WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP FIXED!! This has nothing to do with being and EV. It's just the windshield washer. To make matters worse, the service guy I spoke to, in person, basically told me the could WORK on the car, they just wouldn't honor the warranty. These people are friendly rip off artists.
