Talking on the phone is one of my least favorite things.) Unlike other dealerships, Bayou Ford listened to my request and only contacted me via email or text. Monica was prompt in her follow-up to my inquiry and made sure all of my questions were answered before I made an appointment. I arrived at the dealership and was greeted immediately. To speed up the process, Nick appraised my trade-in while I was test driving a vehicle. The original vehicle I was interested in didn't work out, however, my sales specialist Sonny was committed to finding me the perfect vehicle. Not only was he patient and easy-going, he never tried to oversell me or put me in a car I couldn't afford. He worked with me to ensure I got the best value on my trade and made sure I left feeling confident that I made the right choice. If he is available when you arrive, I can not recommend his expertise enough. The gentleman who handled my financing made the process easy and seamless. Most importantly, he didn't try to guilt me into purchasing any "extras" once I told him I wasn't interested. Respect. The process was so quick that I forget his name. Sorry! Overall, I couldn't recommended Bayou Ford enough. The facilities are clean, the cars are well taken care of, and, most importantly, the people truly care about your car buying experience. We purchased a truck recently from Bayou Ford. They didn't give us a fair trade in value for our old truck. "We use carfax to determine value not KBB." Also, attempted to deduct $1,000 off trade in for car preparation for resale. Definitely, read over financial paperwork before you sign it. Needed help with a battery at 4:00. Traveling from out of town. They were open til 6:00. Told me it would be the next day and that they could only rent me a car. And even added that it would be expensive. Told me I shouldn't get a battery replaced elsewhere. 4 people standing around doing nothing & looking as if they couldn't care less that I had a problem. I went one block down the road, got a new battery & was back on the road by 5:00. And I can't even count how many Fords my family has bought in our lifetime. read more

BEWARE! The sales people I dealt with at Bayou Ford used lots of tricks to get me to make a purchase. They held back on my trade-in value. But I was able to negotiate a fair price after proving I knew what my vehicle was worth. Then I noticed the loan payment amounts did not add up. The numbers were $41 per month higher then they should be. Again I had to prove I knew my stuff before they would fix it. I used a free loan payment app on my phone. Other dealers' numbers added up, but Bayou Ford's did not until I sent them a screenshot of the loan payment calculator. I am not sure if this would have been fixed in finance but it was clearly not correct at this point. Once I received the form with the correct numbers, I notice the taxes went up. The tax rate had stayed the same throughout all of our previous negotiations until this point. When I asked why the taxes changed, the sales person replied, "The truck is being sold". I don't think it actually sold, I think they were tired of dealing with me because later that evening the price of the truck was lowered on their website. I believe there was other stuff they tried on me too. They tried to include the typical vehicle protection plan. Also there "TTL and fees"number was very high. Other dealers show a doc fee on this form but they did not. I think they include the doc fee on this line. I'm pretty sure Louisiana law limits the doc fee to $200 and the TTL was off by much more than that. I hope this review helps someone make a fair purchase. I am including pictures of the form with the wrong numbers and the final form with the right loan payment, but has the higher taxes. You'll notice that they tried to hide the extra taxes by lowering the interest rate. read more

Took my truck here to be serviced and they had it for almost 3 months. They don't call you and let you know what's going on you have to stalk them behind your vehicle. Bought it in for a tick in engine, told me it was something else. And plus they misdiagnosed my blinker problem. I would not recommend them to anyone. And when I finally got my truck back it was humming. They told me it was my alternator. Lol dumb ass mechanic put hose on all jacked up so air was humming out. A bunch of dummies at Bayou Ford. Every time I call to get a check up or a update I get the we will call you back. Not one time has this place called me back with an update about my vehicle. The worst Customer service I have ever seen. I'm surprised this dealership is still even opened. The only reason I give 1 star is because Mr Gregg Appling "TRIED" to do something to make things right. AT least thats what he told me. Horrible experience with sale, customer service and after the purchase. LET ME BE CLEAR.... I HAVE WAITED WAYYYY LONG ENOUGH TO WRITE THIS REVIEW in order to let the dealership make this right. Purchased a 2011 Dodge Nitro Heat with 93, 087 miles from them on 4-16-2019 for a lightly negotiated price of $8500 (I had financing elsewhere which seemed to upset them) despite some rude customer service on the part of the young finance manager trying to misrepresent the company and trashing my credit score by having several finance/bank entities run an inquiry on me and refusing to include an extended warranty option in the purchase. On 4-30-2019 I had to bring the truck into a Dodge dealership close to me do to a dangerously rough idle/codes thrown and found a crack in my intake manifold. Called Bayou Ford to discuss this issue since my purchase was only 14 days old and the truck now had 93,180 miles. They wanted me to put the truck back together, tow it to them and they would look at it. (i live in Geismar, LA they are in Laplace, LA Diff of approx 45 miles) Cost of repair $1325. Mr Gregg asked that I send the him the reciept and he would "forward it to the owners" I did and no response. less than a week later Ralph Sellers informed me of a need for new brakes after a monthly oil change which was approx. $500. On 7-16-2019, I had to get the truck towed to Ralph Sellers AGAIN, (mileage 94,685) only to find a repair/replace needed for timing belt, water pump, tensional pulley and seal water pump. Cost $1341. While having this change, I was informed that my air cabin filter should have been changed as part of a 90,000 mile regular service but it wasnt and that would be approx $1500. Again i checked with Bayou Ford with no response. I am at my wits end and NOW would like to let everyone know to BE VERY CAREFUL and use this dealership as a last resort when buying a used vehicle from them. I will not be referring this dealership to anyone I know from Lafayette to Baton Rouge to New Orleans in Louisiana. read more
