I am very disappointed in this facility. I signed up for the skills session and promptly showed up at the designated time. The door was locked, and no one was there. I called the number several times with no answer. I waited 30 minutes before leaving since I live 35 minutes away. I never received a phone call, but I did get an email with their reason for not being there. I was planning to go to another facility further away, but I decided to give this place another chance. (Big mistake!) This time, I received a payment request and was given another confirmation. And wouldn't you know, I am here right now and no one is here. I've called twice with no answer. If I didn't need this session for work, I would not be this upset. I can't vouch for the class; I can only tell you my experience with this place. If you sign up online, make sure you talk to a person to confirm your time. Edit: They called me back, apologized for the schedule mix-up and made it right. I took the skills class and now have my card. read more

We offer same day certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, CPR, AED and First-Aid training - and meet requirements for all healthcare related professions, students, and those established by the US Coast guard for the maritime industry. Individual and group training options available. Courses are fun and informative taught by instructors committed to helping each participant feel empowered to help save a life!

History

Established in 2008.

When we became instructors for the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross, we were planning to provide training to a limited group within our area of healthcare. It soon became apparent that there was a major need, not just for instructors, but for instructors who were motivated to help every participant learn life-saving skills and feel confident in their abilities to help someone in need. Many people take emergency training courses because they are a job requirement, and find that those skills have made a difference not just on the job, but in their every day lives. As humans, we're wired to want to help others in need, as proven by the heroic actions of bystanders amidst extreme, dangerous situations. Our AHA and Red Cross courses help prepare participants in the event of an emergency, and we are honored to help our clients to learn how they can lend assistance when unexpected life-threatening events occur.

Meet the Business Owner: Kathleen B.

Kathleen has worked in healthcare for more than 25 years, in both the clinical and administrative arenas. Since 2008, Kathleen has been a certified instructor for the American Heart Association and has provided necessary training for thousands of individuals in Louisiana and Mississippi. In 2015 Kathleen became an instructor for the American Red Cross. Kathleen enjoys the opportunity to work with individuals and groups to empower all participants to feel confident in their knowledge and skills, and prepare them to put those skills to use when someone needs their help the most.
