Botched order, no apology! I ordered a flower and fruit basket online from a picture on the website. The basket they delivered looked nothing like the picture, had less than half the fruit shown in the picture (and some was damaged- YUK!), the flowers and foliage were quite different than shown in the picture, and the arrangement was substantially smaller.
I went into the florist the next day and looked around, and they had arrangements very similar to what I had ordered for $45, and they had all of the flowers shown in the picture in stock. Then I went across the road to the local grocer and priced some fruit.
I paid $130 (not including delivery) and got about $7 worth of fruit and about $25 worth of flowers. When I complained they said the order was "to value" and that I needed to factor in the cost of each flower and the basket. I recognize that you pay extra for hem taking the trouble of getting the fruit and for the basket etc., but this is just taking the piss.
I had the basket delivered to a hotel where me and my partner were on romantic break, and even the hotel staff commented on the poor quality and half empty basket (there was so little fruit they just filled in all the gaps with green netting). I was so embarrassed that my big romantic gesture turned out to be a poor quality, small, half wilted basket. Oh, I almost forgot, the flowers were lilies and orchids (supposed to be lilies and Aussie natives) and many of the buds fell off before they opened! Very low quality or very poorly looked after at the florist.
Do yourself a massive favor and don't order from these guys, or if you have to use them, walk into the shop so you know what you are getting before you pay for it! read more
