I was led to believe they were affiliated with Florida orthopedic! The assistant Roberto Gonzalez was the one who evaluated my foot and predictably ordered physical therapy! I told him I had already done that! I had already ordered $400 custom orthotics! I had already had injections, in fact too many! The doctor just rubber stamped what Gonzalez's eval determined! I told him it was causing back and knee pain but I wanted to be seen in Tampa! Someone then came in with an appointment in Plant City ! Physical therapy recommendations were between 45 minutes and an hour from my home! A bunch of shysters!

I asked each what surgical approach they used, and all said the classical lateral one. When I asked about other surgical options, all were dismissive of any other technique. After I moved to St. Petersburg, my Rheumatologist recommended Dr. Bolhofner (she indicated he was the surgeon the physicians go to). Surgery was without any incidents, I was up and walking the day of surgery, and have kept walking ever since. No problems, no complications. Great surgeon, good office staff (I never waited more than 10 min). Minor warning, Dr. Bolhofner has a slightly dry sense of humor (then, he IS a surgeon)!

The doctor never discussed or mentioned any of this to me while i was in his office. When i requested a copy of my xray, to take to another doctor, I was directed to a website for a different company. 10 days later i am still trying to get a copy of xrays. He always checks on you after the procedure while in the Hospital and has you come in within 3 days to office for another post op check. Even if I moved away, I would always come back to this office if I should have a orthopedic need. He is very busy but getting an appointment is easy and usually not a very long wait to be seen.
