I was a regular patient for some time. I stopped once they had a billing problem on their end with my insurance. they waited to long to bill is my understanding. It's not my responsibility to pay out of pocket when my insurance was paying. It was a problem on their end. I went for some time and each time I asked Chuck about it. he said don't worry he would take care of it. he never did and instead I had a collection agency calling me for over 2 years after. He miss managed his office and took it out on the patient. I never missed an appointment but they claim I had. it got to a point where there was bad communication. I decided to stop. the apt. was 15 min and focused and then he changed and it was under 10 min when I timed it. Quick in and out. he went from specialty to general chiropractic. Reckless Chiropractor. God Complex. Creepy. Abusive to his staff and wife. Avoid at all costs. His care quality is poor.

Baxter has the entire town fooled into thinking he's a nice fellow. I tell you the most charming men are snake oil salesmen or used car dealers. He is pretty much in this category. Confront him on something he doesn't agree with. His eyes glaze over with a strange look and he really gets uncomfortable to be around. I certainly wouldn't want to ever be in a room alone with him after it. I know that for sure. Does not wear a face mask while working on clients. His staff also do not use masks. The board of health have had many complaints and are trying to file case. They are hitting a legal wall as he claims himself, his wife, his entire full staff all have medical conditions to not wear masks to protect you. Maybe to coverup his super creepy vibe he spreads his cash around this broke town and buys off everyone. That's just my opinion not a fact. However if you talk to him about covid. He will tell you the entire thing is a hoax and you'll see his real reason perhaps to not wanting to wear one or enforce others to do so. I had billing issues with my spouse. They failed to mark the copay correctly and proceeded to hound us like deadbeats for months calling at all hours. Which was awful when we had paid them. Then finally balancing their books for the year they saw it in fact was paid. But no apology for harassment for months over money they already got. They wanted to be paid twice? Now his actual back popping and jumping on you skills are excellent! You want to be around this guy? Do you? Have at it. I wouldn't let my worst enemy in his building. read more

I am an adult who suffers from many birth defects that cause me to be very uncomfortable daily. I've been going to chiropractic for as long as I can remember. Dr.Mel has been a blessing in my life.... Two visits with her and I quickly realized that I have NEVER been adjusted correctly for my conditions until now. She is so smart, informative and is very intentional with every move. She is gentle in the way that my body needs but is so intentional that I can feel the relief and improvement right away. The entire week between my appointments I was so impressed at how I felt. I can feel my actually be aligned which is so crazy to me. I have been to probably 20 different chiropractors due to insurance, moving or trying to find the right fit for me. I Will never see another chiropractor again if I can help it.....she earned a lifetime customer and I see why the rest of my family has been going to see her for the last few years. My only regret is not coming to her sooner. I recommend her to everyone and I will tell the world how amazing she is because I can already tell that being in her care is going to change my life and pain drastically. After reading some of the other reviews I will definitely be keeping my receipts from now on since others had problems with billing/copays from the business in general and I can't speak on the other staff but DR.Mel would get 100 stars from me...5 just doesn't do her justice. read more

So Dr.Baxter is amazing. He has helped my husband so much. When he had a rough day he did an emergency visit and came to our house. I have quite a few genetic diseases and he understands them and helps me out. The staff is very friendly and caring. read more

If they let me give no stars, that's what I'd give this so-called doctor's practice. I stopped going here many years ago. The most painful adjustment I ever had (and I've seen a few chiropractors beyond Baxter). I struggled with whether or not to go to the ER because of it. His "charm" is creepy as hell and quickly becomes pressuring. The staff were blind, aggressive minions, who often challenged you about owing them money. They quicklyfelt like a cult. The cult of Dr. Chuck as they like to call him. I was pressured to attend his seminars, which I would not. This made the staff more aggressive. I see that current patients had yelped that he thinks covid is a hoax and he and his staff do not wear masks or care about protecting their patients. This did not surprise me one bit. The cult of Dr. Chuck reigns supreme - in Chuck's mind anyhow. If any doctor won't wear a mask during a pandemic and tells you it's all a hoax ... RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!!! read more

had to go 3 stars vs 2 bc he is intuitive and effective honestly, however the playbook of do enough ask for more visits than l think are needed frankly. And no advise on self care to avoid re injury stretches and the like even when asked directly, skillful change of subject. Add to that an unfortunate political bent toward the sickness of division and indecent poison of the former guy, (orange you glad he was not re elected?) to the point of blatant and defiant mask omission during the entire pandemic. read more

The doctors were friendly, BUT the professional staff in the office are the worst. I always had to prove that I paid the co-pay for the last visit and would keep my receipts in my bag. ALWAYS!! Then 4 years later I receive a bill for $100 worth of Co-pays and a first visit because they updated their system. I have moved Jobs, homes, insurance, and bank accounts. So proving I paid them is more trouble then it is worth. Plus I had a free consultation, which is why I went their in the first place.....and they tried to change me for that!! Good thing I have a good memory! Good Chiropractors are easy to find!!! Go somewhere else that is better at office and billing organization! it is worth it later! read more

Baxter Chiropractic provided fine service. 1 star is a result of billing. I was referred to the office and was given a card for a free exam, x-ray and consult. They are not willing to honor the promotion and are charging me for the x-rays. I have reached out several times and have sent payment minus fee for x-ray. They are unwilling to compromise and take any responsibility for their error. Bait and Switch! read more
