Schoenhouse Apartments is a great idea for any tourist who wants to visit Berlin. The apartment is…read morelocated on the main street leading to Alexanderplatz (you will reach there by tram - 3 stops, or walk you reach in 15 minutes). This is not just an ordinary hotel, it is apartment where you will find not only nice rooms but also mini apartments with kitchenettes and a real small flats. The rooms are tastefully decorated in pastel colors with a predominance of beige and lilac. You will find here everything you need. Although there is no air conditioning you can always ask at reception for a fan. There is free access to wifi but it works differently and sometimes with minor problems. The service is very friendly and helpful. Fast contact via phone or mail. Can easily communicate in English. On Your request they can reserve a parking space for You. Every morning- form 7:00 till 10:00 on the ground floor breakfast is served in the price of 8 euro/person. But if you have a room with a kitchenette (fridge, cooker, kettle, coffee maker, pots and all equipment) is worth to do breakfast alone - it is reale fun. I realy recommend this place - we spent there wonderful moments.

Working with coming-home has been so difficult. We lived in one of their advertised apartments for…read more2 years, however the collaboration with them and also the landlord was a nightmare. We had to move during the pandemic and from them not allowing us to see the apartment before signing to the photos of the flat being inaccurate we were really afraid that it was a scam.. We signed the contract with loads of second thoughts (but Berlin is such a difficult city to find rentals that we had no other choice) and in the handover day nobody from their side was present, nor were we able to report how many things were not according to what we signed up for... When we ended our stay, the landloard charged for things that were not meant to be charged and when we bought this to coming-home, they acted as if it is not on their hands - even though, again - none of the the things we were charged for were part of the contract! A person from their legal department even admitted in writing that we were not supposed to be charged by the landlord for those things, but then when we asked them to support us in getting the landlord to reimburse us, they never answered anymore. So frustrating! We'd never work with them again nor would we recommend them. We lost so much money and we barely got anything in return for it..

My partner and I moved to Germany as part of a fellowship program, and a number of of us rented apartments through Coming Home. It was a huge mistake. Our landlord, and a number of our friends' landlords, demanded huge security deposits up front, and then fabricated damage to their apartments after the term of the lease ended, pocketing the money. Coming Home was no help - they did not intercede at all, and basically went dark after this all happened. Avoid. There are way better ways to rent an apartment in Berlin.
