I asked to not be numbed with the needle and she was very harsh on my gums. She used the gel but by the time she got to cleaning my teeth the gel pretty much wore off.. I always ask to not be numbed by the needle at other dentists and I've never had a dentist be this rough. Not to mention the entire cleaning felt rushed. 3. After the cleaning was done they told me I had to come back to get 3 cavities treated... nobody told me I had 3 cavities until that moment. Then I had realized that no one even went over my X-rays after the first appointment.. needless to say I will not be coming back and scheduled my cavities to be treated somewhere else.

But they wanted a doctors clearance and I have been trying to get one. But recently I had a situation where one of the teeth that I need removed started hurting badly and I contacted them via email. They said they understood and didn't want me in pain and would take me in on an emergency, but I still needed a doctor's clearance. If I have an emergency situation, then why do I have to wait for a doctor's clearance, my tooth is now hurting worse than before and I can't get any help from this dentist to get some relief from the pain. And I can't keep taking pain meds for this tooth. So without a doctor's clearance, it doesn't matter if you have an emergency situation with your teeth at this dentist! I thought that doctor's if any kind are supposed to care about people, well it doesn't appear that this dentist care about anyone, especially in an emergency! Even though they appear to be great dentist, I don't recommend going there, cause when you really need help, you could end up like me, in pain without any real care in the world by this dentist, so find another dentist that cares!

I came in last month for my first…read morevisit because they came recommended and Dr Tuttle said i needed 11 fillings and recommended a deep cleaning. I was shocked by that because a different dentist i went to in January didn't say i needed any work done so to hear 11 fillings in a span of 8 months shocked me. I trusted my gut and went to get a second opinion from a dentist in Menifee and sure enough i didn't need any fillings! They did say i had 3 "watch stops" but nothing that they thought needed work now. They were even shocked Dr. Tuttle recommended a deep cleaning. Canyon Lake Dental felt very money hungry to me. Dr Tuttle tried to sell me on the MARPE, saying i have a lip and tongue tie and it would help my mouth breathing (which yes I'm aware mouth breathing is not good and is something I've been working on). Just felt very much out to get your money so be careful. My husband came in a few months ago too and they told him he needed 7-8 fillings but he just ignored them. Glad he did!
