Joe moved away from California, but does return regularly as he's a Ducks fan and has season tickets. He may have been worth the price he quoted. I don't know. The two other quotes I got were more than 50% less than what he quoted. It does not make sense for me to pay 2x as much for somebody living in another state to do my taxes. It was $95 for 10 minutes, and I expected to hear on the call that my case was too complex for just ten minutes and I'd need to reschedule for an hour, or worse, pay for a few hours of research at $XXX/hr. Instead, Mr. Klasing was familiar with the situation, said I had three options, and explained the pros and cons of each one, concurring with AI that my idea was illegal and I should pick one of the other two. Getting an expert resolution, the same day, and for only $95, is a bargain and a relief. Note, the firm offers this service for only an *initial* consultation; you can't keep paying $95 for additional 10-minute consults.
