There is virtually no rubbish on the grounds making it ideal to walk any sort of dogs. It also has a lovely stream and woody spots for a quick stimulating dog walk. It certainly provides a lot for the dogs to sniff. It's amazing how peaceful and quiet it is given how busy the surrounding area is due to near constant traffic. The only downside perhaps is parking for those who wouldn't be walking to this park or doesn't live nearby. But other than that, I can't imagine anybody complaining about this well maintained park.

Cheerful, giant flowers crown the main faux wood play structure and a smaller slide set for babies. Farther back is an area with swings, see saws, and a roundabout. There were a few benches but not a lot of seating otherwise. We visited right after a rainstorm and I didn't notice any pooling puddles, although there is still dirt / landscaping on the borders of the playground so if your kiddos like to seek out mud and puddles to jump in, you'll want to keep an eye out. There is no parking lot but we've usually not had too much trouble with street parking.

About two months ago, the Dalmatian viciously attacked my dog twice, and we then had to take my dog to the emergency vet to receive stitches and a drainage pump. The owner was not able to take control of the dog. Due to the attack, my dog had several deep puncture wounds on her thigh. The Dalmatian and the owner have been reported to animal control. This person cannot take control of her dog at the dog park, refuses to take responsibility, and pays for the associated emergency vet cost.

Water is provided in the park as well as tables to sit and watch your dog. Dog bags are also provided and in my experience they're always available but bring your own if you can. If you plan on going, dress appropriately. Wear clothes in which you expect to get dirty because even with a grassy and clean park, some dogs will greet you with a slobbery and happy poke to the leg. A lot of the landscape in this dog park consists of mulch and dirt. I imagine the reason is because dogs like to dig ALOT it makes it easier to maintain the park and patch any hazardous holes to prevent tripping and injuries. Although this isn't a very prevalent issue I do wish that the park and its visitors have a bit more decorum and clean after themselves. Not much of a technical issue but a community incentive. I find myself finding waste on the ground more often now. When you're at a park, you're supposed to watch your dogs. Aside from that, after almost of a decade of coming here with my dog I've always found the people super friendly and occasionally I'd find extremely beautiful dogs.

Third, some of the owners brought dogs who weren't the most friendly... and then didn't pay attention to them when they snapped at other dogs. Positives- pups liked the rock formation. The park was HUGE. There were spots for humans to sit. There were essentially two parks- one for small dogs (under 20lbs) and one for big dogs. It was easy to find. And there were a ton of dogs!

Unfortunately, lately there has been people who bring their super tiny dogs into the large dog area and then complain if a big dog is playing too "rough". PLEASE FOLLOW THE RULES AND KEEP YOUR SMALL DOG IN THE SMALL DOG AREA. Unless your dog can handle, but other than that you have no reason to complain. Our dog is still a pup (a big pup) and he is really good with both large and small dogs but some little dogs are just too small. So please it's for you and your dogs own good. Anyway back to the dog park! It's amazing it has a good space to run. It has two little hills in the top area and then a hill (going down) on the other side. It's a beautiful dog park. Very well maintained. Has a water fountain so we can refill the water bowls. There are countless tennis balls laying around to play fetch & at this moment I believe there's a soccer ball, I'm sure someone left it. For the little dog owners, your area has a little hill too! It's quiet and people walking the trail are friendly the couple of times I've been. Ample parking in the parking lot as well.
