The extensive bilingual section for children was extremely helpful to me when I was teaching in primary school. There is a great range of DVDs, language instruction materials and local area information. One star off for the staff. Not unwilling to help, but mostly unable. When I smile and say good afternoon, it is nice to have it reciprocated. That has never happened to me here.

Great library. It's improved immeasurably since it's refit, and it has a great stock of books. Smaller selection but fairly easy to navigate and search for things on your own (tried to find a book that was recommended and it wasn't at the branch, shucks). There's lots of tables and spaces to meet and study with people or by yourself. There are computers, some you have to reserve and some you can drop in and use (but I think there's an hour time limit per day or something) There's also the museum of Brent and a cinema located in the same centre. Not sure how the cinema works but I went into the museum and it's awesome. It's definitely geared towards children, crazy interactive exhibits left and right, but I had a blast going through it all by myself. There's even a video booth where you can record your story about various school topics like bullies, homework, favorite hot lunches. For sure come here if you need a few hours to kill with children in tow in Willesden. :)

Some times it's just an empty space so you have room to breathe. Ground Floor is for the cuties, because they have a children's section ranging from baby books to post toddlers, toddlers all the way up to teenagers. That's on your right as you enter. On your left they have the adult section range of books from a range of authors weather you're a romantic and love to be swept away by love stories to if you're a vampire waiting to feed on the next best horror book. Maybe there are a few basic skills you want to improve, there are books to help with that and the best thing isthey are just so simple. After all it is meant to be a library. If people want to talk on the phone or to each other there are other facilities they could go to such as cafes or restaurants.

Yes, it is a lot smaller than the other local libraries but it has had a recent refurb at least…read more Lots of computer stations are tucked away in a quiet area for use. There's also a massive childrens area with games and books so prepare for occasional noise at storytime. There's an OK selection of novels and reference books and a fairly big range of DVDs for hire that you pay extra for. It is a lot quicker to use the new machines to check books in and out, or use your online account now to reserve or order books. The only thing that stumps me is the lack of signage for different genres or even pointing out the fiction and non-fiction areas. There are a few titles on the shelves but I think this could be improved a lot as within novel section, books are split into crime / sci-fi etc with no apparent indication of this.

Camden town library is quite small in comparision to some of the other libraries in the borough,…read morefor example, Swiss cottage, but I love it anyway. It is amusing that some people would prefer to buy a book for £10 plus, read it, put it on the shelf to collect dust and when they are moving house, realise they have too much junk and then give it to a charity shop. Wake up and get with the times - if you want a book, get it fromthe library If they do not have it there, they can either order it from another library in the borough or even order it from their suppliers - only of course if it will be of use to other people There is also computer access. It is possible to book a time slot (max 1 hour per day), but if the computer is free when down there, it might be possible to use it for another hour. For those who lack IT skills, it is possible to attend an IT class, which is suitable for all age groups and levels, whether beginner or advanced. If you live in Camden, try it out, we do pay council tax so try and use the councils facilities as much as possible and save money

The childrens section is very big, bean bags for kids etc They have a GCSE/A/AS level/SATS books section nera the computers. They have a great range of young adult fiction, and have manga and comic books. There is usually a competition for children, they have had some great open days - some with reptiles/ pantomine cast etc. They have some competitions where you have to walk aroung the library and find pictures of thinks i.e rabbits at easter. It is worth getting a library card or coming for a visit just to check out the books or work in the space - it's the same building / door right next to the one to Canada Water station. It's right across from the mini lake by the station, so has pretty views. Sometimes there are children's events on the first floor of the library which involve singing and shouting, hard to concentrate in the rest of the library when that occurs. Three stars is mostly because the internet is unusable. It's unfortunate because otherwise the library would be a perfect space to work. The WiFi is unsecured but requires a pop up log in page to access. In the case you are able to get the log in page to load and enter your library card password log in after 30 minutes of waiting, you'll probably promptly get dropped off of it. There are various coffee shops and restaurants in London capable of hosting a WiFi connection that works for the same amount if not more people, why not this library?

I was slightly disappointed that there wasn't a bigger fanfare about it opening (opened in November), but that might be because I don't read the local news! This library is really convenient, being right next to the tube station. It's also very well designed, with a coffee shop on the ground floor and some conference rooms/meeting rooms that can be rented out. The library seems to have a big range of books and it all feels very informal. On the upper floor, they have the special interest books, study areas and a lounging area with a great view of the pond. It's also a self-service library (like the Idea Stores in Tower Hamlets), which means (hooray!) no queuing! The variety of books seems wider than Idea Stores, which already appeals to me. I'm really happy to have a library which is so close to where I live!
