It was also a popular after work hang out when I worked at an awful call centre in Sherbrooke and I was excited when we decided to go and play pool there. Maybe now living in Ottawa I have access to better establishments but it turned out to be decidedly average. For the unaware, the Liverpool is a British themed pool bar that has a cigar lounge. The pool tables are still good and the place is still really nice, but the beer selection isn't great, the service was average, the music wasn't any good (although showing the music videos on screen is a nice touch). The pool is still affordable ($8.00 per hour, and I think it was that much when I was in University 7 years ago) and they still have a great menu of shots for $3.00 (which also hasn't changed in about 8 years) and the decor is still pretty much the same. It's also still one of the best bars on the decaying Wellington South bar strip, which isn't saying a whole lot. C'mon Sherbrooke you can do better!
