I was looking forward to buying Fenty products but right when I walked in, nobody greeted us or asked if I needed anything. As I keeping looking for products in obviously need of help, no one still didn't care to see if I needed guidance. Instead they were just up on the register gossiping! I didn't catch names but it was a middle-aged woman with dark hair & an old man. Then right when I go to get ringed for my makeup, the old man says "I didn't know makeup cost this much! That's a lot". That comment made me uncomfortable and he proceeded to talk about how it costs too much. I just wanted to treat myself to new products and I felt judged for it. I was so excited going into Sephora and I left feeling very annoyed. Don't recommend this Sephora at all !!

I went in recently to buy braiding hair for my daughter and she had a variety of natural hair colors and rainbow colors. I ended up getting blue/purple/hot pink ombré and my daughter was estatic! They also sell some makeup, wigs, hair color, and shampoo and styling products. Very well curated shop!

Even though it was quite busy inside on 12/17/2025 around 2:30-3ish, I'm so thankful I was able to get Onyx's help. For the first time ever, I was able to participate in the "Bring 5 Back" program and get a free fresh face mask in return. I didn't know how to partake in the program and was honestly a little nervous about it. I had washed my pots out and made them super clean, but I just don't like walking into places like I own them--it's a respect thing for me. I wouldn't walk into someone's home uninvited, and this is their place of work. Onyx was really quick to walk me through the process and made it so easy. The exchange was wonderful, and she was so understanding with me as someone new to the program. Onyx helped me not only figure out what would suit my skin type but also guided me through choosing the perfect one. I'd never tried a fresh face mask before, and she helped me select Coconut Shie. It smells absolutely divine and makes my skin super soft! I came home and couldn't wait--I had to use it before even hopping in the shower. Onyx truly made my day with her exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and genuine care. I hope management recognizes what an incredible asset she is to your team--she deserves to be celebrated for the wonderful experience she creates for customers like me. I also love her unique name!

But on the contrary at the Hair Outlet Beauty supply store. I have been searching many weeks and places for a specific half wig. I had a picture of the item on my phone that I was interested in purchasing. After my pedicure I was driving down Woodland Avenue anyway so why not give it a try. When I went into the store I was greeted by two of the workers who asked how they could assist me. I was very impressed with this because generally you can walk around for a long time before anyone even addresses you in beauty supply store. Once I showed them the picture of the item one young lady said 'we do not have the specific item but we have that brand and something comparable to the item you're looking for'. She addressed the other young lady and explained where she would be able to locate the item. I was asked to follow her to the back of the store where the wigs were. I was shown several options and offered suggestions of how I could make the styles they had available appear the same as the one in the picture. Since I'm not creative I didn't take the chance but, I really did appreciate all the effort they showed an offering customer service. For that alone I will return to make purchases in the near future.

Thanks to my job, I meet a lot of business clients and my hair appearance always has to look nice and professional so I've been to MANY beauty supply stores in Philly. The minute I walked in to this store it became my favorite one. First, I must say I was very impressed with the deals they have. Unlike a lot of hair stores, they ACTUALLY mean DEAL. I'm a picky girl so I compare a lot when I make any purchase. Based on my good research, this store's prices generally run a lot cheaper than other beauty supply stores or online. Second, I was impressed with the size of the store and the selections of extensions. Products were neatly organized and easy to find. Lastly, the staffs were friendly and they professionally helped me to choose my body wave. The lady showed me several options including Remi and virgin hair and I decided to go with their virgin hair. It's been almost seven months now and I'm still wearing it. If you need hair in Philly, this is the place to go.

Went to the store within their seven day return/exchange policy to exchange or get a store credit. Before I could ask for the exchange or credit the cashier bluntly stated "we can't accept that because it was opened". Their return policy on the receipt states "product must be in original condition and package (With all tags attached) for returns/exchanges."' No where does it states that the packages couldn't be opened. Exactly how are you to know if the product is correct if you don't open the package. I'm not a beautician and clearly this was my error. However, the product was not used and we put in it right back in the original package with all of the tags. Wasn't worth arguing with her about it. They just lost a customer that's all.
