The MCC thrift store in mission is located just off the main road, and has a moderately sized parking lot. While the staff is always friendly this location as well as the Abbotsford one still subscribe to the nasty old habit of turning rude at closing time. Nothing worse than being engrossed in looking at neat old items and suddenly the lights turn out. I actually did not shop here at all for over two years as my wife and I were about to leave one evening before Christmas and spied a small box of vintage ornaments in the showcase near the cash. We did not want to look, we wanted to buy them right then as in pay and leave. The staff said they were closed and to comeback the next day. All they had to do was slide the door open at lift them out but they refused. There were still other people in line to pay and we would have had to wait anyhow. We left all of our purchases and went home. Checked early the next day and the ornaments were gone. The irony was when I checked the time outside it was still minutes until their closing time. I wrote to their head office later that day but received no reply. Decent store, terrible customer service.
