My Dog died of starvation under her care. His name was Gordo, hairless Chinese crested puppy, left…read moreon 08/31/2018 in perfect health (see vet's health certificate) at the age of 6 months weighting 12.7lbs. for show training. 3 months later, the pup "is found" dead weighting a barely 9.5lbs. An autopsy was performed to determine cause of death. Body was taken to Cassandra's/Kathy's ver of choice and it's conclusive that the puppy was starved, malnourished and possibly neglected (debris were found in his stomach as well as hook worms). Hystopathology report shows there's no evidence of genetic problems that may have caused starvation nor any viral load. The puppy was a healthy dog. All documents attached here. Cassandra never informed me of any issue with puppy, and only contacted me when he was already dead. Cassandra has agreed to pay reinstitution for Gordo and return a second dog of mine under her care. But she has not made a single payment, nor returned my dog or contacted me since then.

From the owner: Here at HyKrest Kennels not only we board dogs but we also do grooming and training. We recommend…read morewhen you drop off let us know if you would like your dog to get just a bath or if your dog needs a haircut before pick up. Everything is included with the grooming - bath, toenails, ear cleaning, haircut if needed and brushing. I do offer dog training if you would like more information about training feel free to ask me. I can teach dog training either in a group or 1 on 1 with just the owner and the dog, training is done at grooming shop for 6 weeks but if I think your dog needs extra more training I will push it to 8 weeks.

I took my six year old dog here. I had tried calling the other vet and couldn't get through. How do…read moreyou cited to give Desert trails veterinary services a try. My dog was diagnosed with diabetes, which was expected. After two appointments to make sure we had adequate information we started our dog on insulin and a new diet. The vet that they had working there, which was apparently not the normal vet, told us our dog would live a long life and to come back a week and a half later for tests. I wasn't told what to watch for on Insulin. My dog got really sick. I didn't understand it at first. My dog has a sensitive stomach and as I mentioned we had to change his diet. He had puke but that was normal when you gave him new food. I wasn't aware that puking was a sign that the insulin wasn't working and he was very sick. I was never told the warning sign to watch for. By the time I understood that things were bad I rushed him to Reno to an emergency hospital. The hospital wasn't able to do anything. He was too far gone. I called Desert trails veterinary services several days after the incident. I couldn't call them any sooner because I was so distraught and sad. I told them I was very upset with the service I got. I felt so depressed and hurt that I let my dog die. Had I known the warning signs to watch for I could've saved him. The lady that answered the phone said she'd look into it when she called me back she didn't say she was sorry she didn't give me condolences for my loss she just said they weren't going to do anything and it wasn't their fault. I feel like this veterinary service is a cold hearted money grubbing scam. If you value your pets life and he don't go here they are horrible. It cost me my family members life my pet for me to understand this.

Being a person used to city vet's / animal service it took some getting used too. But my cat…read moreHumphry's multi tooth extraction went great. All the service's where well priced along with the surgery. And he is so much crazier now. Thank you. My rat Yoli's recovery didn't go well, but as we all should know, get a blood panel first and I didn't. I merely mentioned her in passing when I collect left over money. And a week later I got an awesome handwritten letter of compassion from them. They care for allot of animals here so it was a bit of a surprise for a rat. As most don't understand what great companions rat's make. But from start to finish I wasn't made to feel weird about caring for a rat. And pet the shop cat, Matilda, Miranda her name starts with an M.

Keystone Veterinary Hospital - long hair was there that day i dropped him off. the other one called 911 on me

First I wonder why YELP posted one negative review with two 5 star reviews under "NOT RECOMMENDED"…read more I have chosen to NEVER move from Winnemucca because of the care Dr. Schwartz shows to animals.. sitting on the floor with them until they are comfortable with him; allowing the owner to be with the animal while administering care.... and especially his amazing gift of veterinary science. He now has another vet with him, Dr. Matsuura, who likewise likes animals (some bets don't!!), is quite bright and gentle with the animals. Regarding those who are angry about not having the funds to pay up front yet expect the vet to trust for payment while the individual is not an established client. We all have bills to pay and neither human doctors nor animal doctors are charity organizations. I have told MANY to take their animals in before the animal is sick to create a relationship with the vet.. they don't do it and then don't understand why the vet would not know them nor their ability to pay. Then, you can always drive to Reno and be told the same thing at another veterinary hospital. And as far as being pricey, I paid for my daughters' vet bill in Florida.. whew!!!

Turned away our emergency needs for our dog solely because we weren't from Winnemucca. They told us…read moreif they were to take us, it would be emergency surgery only. And would have a new patient fee? And they wouldn't even look at him, just immediately do a very expensive surgery (which he didn't even end up needing). He's a dog... not a person you need to get to know, this was an emergency... I guess that seems crazy to me. Ended up going to Zimmerman Veterinary and they were amazing. Bad clinic.
