Used to carry affordable good quality paint, but not enough profit margin I guess, so now only Ben-Moore and Ace Brand. Curious how Ace Brand price skyrocketed as soon as the new $40 per gallon Ben-Moore hit the shelf? Upside is that most staff are friendly, but don't walk or ride a bike to the store with a backpack or else they assign a "personal shopper" to harass you while shopping! read more

After 15 years of being a loyal customer and spending $10K-$15K a year here, I will never spend my money here again. It's unfortunate that the warehouse manager has to fabricate lies about me in order to cover her backside and the owner doesn't care that he lost a customer. I've also heard from other customers about the attitude given by the warehouse manager. Been going elsewhere for over a year now and saving a lot more money without the attitude. Bath and Lumber is NOT the place to try and purchase or order anything from. I called this-morning to check on the price of something and they answered.....then hung up.....making the line busy so no more calls could come in. If you order for shipment be aware you are going to receive cheapest stuff they can drop off to you. I ordered an entire pallet of 2X4. when they arrived half of the pallet was so poor they were unusable......bowed wood....burred over half way.....that kind of stuff......make sure to inspect before you pick up. read more

Nice clean and fairly well stocked hardware and lumber store. Staff always helpful. Some people have complained of the prices for materials, which I would agree with. But when you consider that the materials must be transported to Ely, Nevada, a place that really isn't on the way to anywhere, the prices are not too bad. If I have any complaint, it would be that the dimensional lumber is not always very good with too much checking, splits, knots and other defects. For most construction needs it works, but if exposed, not that great. read more

Good selection, helpful staff, over priced. Being a resident of Ely I find myself usually buying lumber and hardware out of town. For most.other household needs I shop here. I recently bought a kitchen faucet. They have this nice display but only carry a very small.amount of inventory. It seems the take.advantage of being in a small town. Overpriced, they definitely take advantage of being a small town business monopoly. They do have a decent selection of materials and some of the staff is good. If you can, save your money and wait to go out of town. Lumber is literally 2X the cost of Home Depot or Lowe's. read more
