Excellent quality of care, attention to detail, and thorough understanding of muscles, nerves, and joints. Best chiropractor I've been to and happy to support a provider owned small business! read more

Dr. Lisa Bates is so attentive and really listens to understand the problems you're having when you come in. She does an amazing job of adjusting my neck and back without being too jarring and rough. My entire family sees Dr. Bates. read more

I've had several chiropractors from going to chains or bigger clinics in Southern California. The cheap ones were really quick and the fancy ones had more options, but nothing beats the care and precision that Dr. Bates provides on a consistent basis. She gives the greatest attention to detail when checking current alignment, and she does not simply go for every crack or the biggest cracks. She adjusts what is needed, and learns your body's needs more and more over a few visits. I truly feel safer and in better hands than with any other chiropractor I have had. As a Disabled Veteran with chronic leg issues that plague my hips and back, I am so thankful to have found Dr. Bates to alleviate my pain and live a more active life in comfort I thought I would never get back. read more

If you are looking for a Chiropractor, I highly recommend Bates Chiropractic Clinic. When I first started going to them, I had not been to a chiropractor for 2 years because of a change in insurance. I have mild scoliosis and without the chiropractic adjustment was to the point that getting out of bed and walking was a chore. My life came to a stand still. With a treatment plan, I was soon feeling much better and regained my life back. Everyone in the office is very caring and go out of the way to help. There is no pressure, you have a say in your care. I am so glad that I chose them! read more

I recommend anyone living in Des Moines to visit Dr. Lisa Bates at Bates Chiropractic Clinic. Dr. Bates has many years of experience and she is always making sure that she is updated in the latest technology and research. Year after year she goes to seminars and brings that knowledge to all of her patients. She is a very caring person; she will become your health advocate and help you with your health goals. She is very genuine and will treat you from a very holistic perspective going a step beyond than other chiropractors in the industry. read more

I have been to several chiropractors over the years looking for the one that was right for me. I have finally found it here at Bates Chiropractic. If you are looking for people that treat you like family all while helping you get better than look no further. Dr. Lisa actually listens and cares to what you are saying and to what is bothering you. While she is listening she is also thinking go other symptoms or ailments may be attributing to your issue or may come from your issue. I feel as if she gives a true holistic approach to making you feel whole again. I have referred several of my friends to her and will continue to do so. It is hard to find people that truly care about you and your well being. She clearly doesn't practice for the almighty dollar. She practices to make people feel well again. Two thumbs up! read more

Bates chiropractic is the best chiropractic office I have been to in years. Once you enter the door its like walking into a warm cozy house. Tranquil sounds as soon as you walk in and front receptionist is very nice and inviting. The first trip to office is a little longer due to xrays and figuring out treatment, but i got all of that and my first adjustment all in same visit! Most chiros I have been too dont do that the same day! Dr lisa bates uses the adjusting table and warm pack and massaging pads before treatment as well. This was another plus for me walking into the office. The family feel is great in this office and the adjustments I had were very relaxing and made me feel great! Definitely would suggest this office to anyone looking for treatment. Cant wait to go back again and keep my body, mind and soul feeling great. read more

I would no recommend Bates to anyone. Dr. Lisa is very rude and is not understanding. She has a horrible personality and pushy when it comes to vitamins. I was not happy at all with the care. Just some advice for you Lisa.... Sit and listen to your patients and don't be about yourself. Also if you are going to talk about other patients make sure you are doing it very quiet because I got some very interesting facts about one of your other patients that I am sure they would not appreciate it to get around. read more

Love this place. Treated like Royalty! Great technique. Great service:) always feel so much better after going here! Highly recommended.

Going to DMACC from work, my son laid his motorcycle down and complained about his neck and shoulder. If he would have gone to the doctor, they would have x-rayed him and gave him pain meds/muscle relaxers....so instead I took him to Bates. Bates x-rayed him and then treated him. He was back to work SOONER than any pain meds/muscles relaxers would have done for him! (That same evening, my husband also pulled his shoulder when his motorcycle tipped over leaving work) -- Bates stayed open until they had treated BOTH of my guys!...where else will you find service like this! read more

I contacted this office yesterday to schedule an adjustment due to serious headaches, neck problems and back problems. I asked not to be scheduled with Dr. Lisa due to preferences. I was told they would need to call me back. One hour later I was called and they told me they could NOT see me because I "have hard feelings for one of their doctors". I said, who told you this information? I never once said I didn't want to see Dr. Lisa for any particular reason, I just need an adjustment due chronic pain, and need medical attention! THEY TURNED ME AWAY. I have given this office many referrals and many praises, not anymore. I find these actions inappropriate for a medical office, or any other medical office for that matter! WOW, I was flabbergasted! read more
