When I first drove up to the area to access my U- box I was told I was supposed to give 24hr notice…read moreso they could retrieve the box. Everything that you see on UHAUL materials and have to listen to when you are on hold for hours with customer service says you may access your box 24/7. So that was frustrating. What was more frustrating was they told me the fork lift guy was elsewhere and I would I have to wait. Well 4hrs later they got my box but it was too late because I had another appointment to get to back home so it was was a waste of time waiting and a waste of a 4hr drive to not even be able to access my box. I informed them I would be there the next week at a specific time and I needed to have my boxes accessible. When I arrived I was told it would take a minute to get the forklift........30 minutes later the employee comes around and opens the door and realizes my boxes were already accessible on the main floor. What a waste of time. How frustrating! Also - when on hold with U-HAUL for hours they claim your boxes are "safe and secure"...... well as you can see from the photos my box was stabbed with a forklift (it's a miracle it didn't pierce the couch) - NOT SAFE. And upon arrival the hardware holding my lock was completely busted rendering the lock useless - NOT SECURE. So frustrated with every aspect of this company. They have added so much extra stress and frustration to my move. I 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND this company.
