Its jagged, sword-like design evokes both strength and the scars of war. Set on the historic Westerplatte battlefield, it's a stark reminder of the devastating toll on Europe. Nearby, the bold, popping white "NIGDY WIECĘJ WOJNY" (No More War) sign drives home the monument's message--honoring the past while pleading for peace since the 60's. What is still missing in a place of such tremendous national & world-wide importance is a modern museum, and *luckily* "The Westerplatte and WWII Museum" is expected to be finished by 2027. The former military power plant building at Westerplatte will house an exhibition of artifacts from archaeological excavations. Around 250 of the most significant artifacts will be on display.
