I stayed at the Ibis for around €50 and while it was not a great hotel I felt that I got value for money. It is not in the City Center but for me arriving by car it was convenient. Check-in was quick and efficient. The room was nothing special but it was clean, had a comfortable bed, the bathroom was clean and fulfilled its purpose. They also offer free wifi in the rooms and the TV had a decent selection of channels so basically nothing to complain about. Would I stay again if in Tilburg - yes but it is not memorable or great, merely sufficient.

The owner (Nadja) arrived late afternoon and served a homemade Gin & Tonic from the hotel bar (also quite cozy). The most amazing G&T ever made with specialty local Gin and tonic water and a story to cap off the experience. She offers G&T mixology classes there as well. Not sure if Hotel Bliss is five star rated with Trip Advisor, but the service and experience is a 10 in my book! Worth a trip to Holland and the city of Breda for the "Bliss"!

To make things worse when purchasing a coffee I didn't notice they were out of milk and the tall older guy at the front desk proceeds to tell me in English then Spanish that there's no milk ( I'm guessing because I look Hispanic ) which I found unnecessary because I obviously had previous interactions with him and spoke only English. We had a great day at this hotel on our recent trip to Efteling . We chose to stay at an on-site…read morehotel so that we would get admission to the park both on the day of arrival and the next day. Unfortunately, due to flight delays we did not get to the hotel until 15 minutes before the park closed on the first day. Nonetheless, our room was ready and we didn't even have to stop at the front desk. We were able to proceed immediately to the room with our phone and the Efteling app. We were able to eat in the restaurant that evening and the food was excellent. I had pre-arranged breakfast the next morning at 8:30. The breakfast was also great. We were in the larger room in the main hotel building. There was a separate bedroom area with two single beds pushed together in that room. The other room had two bunkbeds. So overall, our room could have slept six. There were only three of us so everybody got two beds, which was great, especially after a long flight from the US . There was also a picnic table. The room was a little bare bones. There weren't a lot of amenities like there was no refrigerator or microwave or tea kettle but the beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was spacious. There was a shuttle right outside the main building that you could take to the theme park. You could also walk. This was the less expensive option, but we really enjoyed it and would happily stay again. I love that they have so many accommodations that fit families of all sizes. Everyone was very friendly. They also have secure luggage storage for the day if you visit the park the day you check out.

I stayed here because I had to work at a data center right down the road. The restaurant was ok for dinner but if you have the option to drive somewhere else, I would opt for that. The room itself did not have any climate control whatsoever, I found that to be a bit strange, otherwise the room was ok and clean, the pillows were not so comfortable though. My biggest complaint is the Internet connection was terrible. I was able to connect to the network ok but the speed was really really bad, we are talking 5 minutes to load a basic news page, no joke. Basically it was unusable and for me a hotel with no WiFi, bad WiFi, or pay WiFi is a deal breaker, period. The next morning though... wow, I have never seen a breakfast in a hotel of this level to be so nice. Man! The selection and quality was incredible. I stacked my plate sky high, there was so much to try. Really, if they could get their act together with the Internet then I would give them a much higher rating, that breakfast was bomb!

Breakfast is included- and is elegant and rich- hard boiled eggs, meat/cheese tray, bowl of breads, and coffee/juice. Would prefer to have been given choices only not to waste such great food. I find after traveling for many days I sometimes want something plain for breakfast such as oatmeal, plain scrambled eggs or simple bowl of fruit. Room was large- 2 full size closets plenty of hangers, shelf space, robe provided. Fireplace which warmed things quickly. Nice Neopresso machine in room with glasses and beautiful selection of coffees- too bad there were no directions on how to use it- so I didn;t. Big cozy towels, comfortable beds. Plenty of outlets for charging all those electronics we travel with. Bathroom is modern- big tub in room- shower/toilet glass-sexy for traveling with your companion- not so much for family travels. Staff was extremely helpful- carrying bags-checking in, finding parking and in general very attentive to those staying at the Hotel. There is an excellent restaurant on site that is packed every night so be sure to let staff know if you want to eat there. Music from the restaurant does vibrate upper sleeping rooms- so that may be something to consider when booking. Unfortunately I did not have time to see if the location was walkable to shopping, other restaurants or area attractions. Nijmegen seems to have a vibrant city with a lot happening- the restaurant was packed both nights i stayed there. This is definitely a property to stay at when visiting this part of the Netherlands- Thanks to an excellent staff!!
