This place bucks the no-bar trend, in fact it's the only place worth drinking in Chatty. (Chelsea Hotel and The Orchard are both soulless). It's *gasp* trendy, if I can say that and not sound like a dag. Probably too late for that. Ah well. There's craft beers you've never heard of and a thoughtful wine list and creative (and affordable!) cocktails and lots of different places to sit depending on whether you're on a date, a corporate lunch, or a catch-up with an old friend that likes playing pool. The owner does allow you to get pizza from Tipo 00 if you don't like the menu they have. Cocktail list is extensive and there is a good selection of single malts and other spirits. The advertising was misleading about the services provided, and when issues arose (such as not letting us know when the desert would be served) staff deflected responsibility and accused me and my colleagues of lying. They were argumentative (and very cocky) and, even after five days, still can not provide a simple receipt. Amanda was particularly discourteous both in emails and over the phone. When I pointed out that she had made a mistake, she became argumentative on the phone and ultimately hung up. The manager was no better, questioning whether I had requested a receipt on the day. This is first of all completely lacking in professionalism and completely misses the point: customers should not have to repeatedly request a receipt--it should be provided as part of the transaction--especially after I had provided my email to the person in charge that day. The level of customer service and professionalism was extremely disappointing for a bill of over $1000.
