The glasses came 3/4 poured and we kindly requested that they fill them to a reasonable level, but instead of simply pouring more beer, the bartender proceeded to take a glow stick (which obviously wasn't meant for culinary purposes) and stick it in my beer and stir it until the foam reached the brim. I was so shocked that I asked him why he would do that, and suggested that where were from it's not uncommon to ask for a full drink when you purchase one. He told me 'welcome to France' and we took our beers and went on our way. Do not support this business, I will never, ever patron this establishment again. This was such a negative encounter on an otherwise fantastic time in Paris, don't let them ruin your experience in this beautiful quartier!

The mango one was especially nice and it crept up on us all slowly. After 4 glasses I felt a bit rosy in the cheeks and wobbly on my feet. Then came the flaming shotsthey poured alcohol on the bar itself and set that alight before I could have my drink which had a ring or fire burning around it. After a quick blow and lots of cheering, down the hatch it went and it tasted not too bad! After two of those I felt I had experienced enough theatre for one evening and did the wise thing and drank some water! There was a very friendly crowd of people, mostly locals and and a few people from Lyon were also in the fold. It is mostly full of students, but it isn't grim because of that factor, it makes the space very free and chilled out.

Lots of locals young and old in large and smaller group. The food was great, yummy pastry burger bun, trio of desserts plus cupcake AND 1 cold + 1 hot drink! I'm glad I went with an empty stomach!
