I absolutely LOVE Green Dirt Farm! It for sure should be on your must visit list when coming to…read moreWeston. It has a very different vibe and menu than the other places in town which is a nice switch up but it is outside of the main area of town a bit (still only like a 3-5 minute drive from downtown so not bad at all). They have amazing sandwichs, soups, and charcuterie boards. Honestly, I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. The outdoor seating area is quite vast with plenty of room to spread out and get some fresh air when it's nice out! All the employees were super nice and willing to give honest suggestions on what to get. I would love to do a wine tasting and try other menu items next time I visit! Add this place to your list for your next trip!

Oof. Big changes at GDFC in the last few months. Came in for my normal start of spring trip after…read morejust being here in late fall, and the whole inside is different (less retail, more space) and several new kitchen remodel upgrades. It looks clean but isn't the same home-y spot we all loved. The kicker, though, is they changed the menu boards which now don't tell you what things are and they've like everyone else increased prices of normal items, including items that used to be included. Sandwiches used to come with chips, and now sandwiches are more and the small single size of chips are $4! Apparently they didn't read PepsiCo just missed a billion dollars in sales because they keep raising prices on Doritos. I can see add-ons for high quality products like soup, specialty fries, etc. I also know GDFC has expanded into KC, and I've been and spent healthy money at that luxury spot several times. But c'mon, this is just ludicrous charges at this point. When I realized the chip change, I asked for a refund of those alone, and the new sales terminal system took forever for multiple people to figure out. The manager on duty had to ultimately refund the whole thing, and reorder my entire order, meaning it's now cost all of us money in time. The staff is completely different - there's a chef in the back wearing a white coat like it's fine dining... the rest of the staff is friendly enough, but also not the same level of home we all got used to for many years. My sandwich finally came out, and it looks nothing like what we used to get - the Cuban is on a hoagie style roll. Not even that good anymore. No more winery inside, and limited drink options overall. And no more fresh ice cream, just overpriced "soft serve." I know we're in times that are a'changin... but some of it has gone too far. Hopefully they keep the same level of loyal business I imagine they had before. My loyalty has definitely shifted instantly to once in a while, if that.

*SUGAR FREE ICE CREAM AVAILABLE HERE YAAAY!*I got to know about Alice Coopers and their delicious…read moreice creams during the Yelp Halloween party. However, the main thing that caught my immediate interest was their sugarfree/keto ice cream (they have one flavor a month) because I'm a diabetic and always on the lookout for sweets with no sugar, and Alice Coopers is honestly one of the very few places in the metro that offers it. Also, my husband is a hardcore rock music lover and so am I (because of him haha), so just hearing the name of the shop already had us excited. It's obviously named after the famous hard rock singer, and the minute we walked in few days back, we loved the whole hard rock band theme around the shop. They have themed Sundaes like Slipknot Sundae, Metallica Sundae and many of the ice cream flavors are named after famous songs. That was a total win for both of us. We instantly became huge fans and will definitely come back to Alice Coopers for our ice cream cravingssss going forward. During this first visit of ours we tried their keto icecream. The flavor of the month was called 'Pecan Sticky Bun' and I got mine with a low-sugar ice cream cone and my husband got the same flavor but as a shake, topped with cream and a cherry. Heyyyy, what else do you need in lifeeee? I was genuinely so happy that I could enjoy ice cream guilt free for once. The shop itself was very cute and decorated with Christmas items. There was an electric fireplace and a small seating area next to a graffiti wall. The ice creams were neatly displayed and the shop overall was very clean and well maintained. The service was good too, and the prices were reasonable. One scoop in a low sugar cone along with a regular size shake came to around $13+. The shop is located inside the beautiful Briarcliff Mall, and the surrounding area is lovely with so many great shops. Grabbing an ice cream here and taking a stroll around the mall afterward honestly feels like the perfect way to end an evening.

It was quite busy when we stopped in nevertheless the staff was very friendly and happy to let us sample flavors before ordering, which I appreciated. The one thing that really stood out was the price ... and not in a good way. We paid $16 for two scoops of ice cream, which felt pretty outrageous for what we got. I truly enjoy supporting local businesses, and I understand that rising costs and high rent can play a role, but it still didn't feel worth it. I didn't rate them too low based on that because they're doing a great job! If you're going for the atmosphere and experience, it could be a fun stop. But if you're thinking about value for money, it may come across as a bit underwhelming.
