So on the next to last day of my New Orleans summer trip-the wifey and I were taking a stroll down…read morethe French Quarter and I needed some relief from the sweltering heat. I ran across this cute little market called Rouses Market and I went in to grab some water. It's the cutest little market servicing the residential portion of the French Quarter and they have just about everything you would have in a typical bodega-style corner market. While looking for the water I ran across the famous Sno-Balls I kept hearing about in New Orleans and I had to grab one. The employees in the market were very friendly and showed me where I could grab my water as well and after paying for my two items I was on my way. Quick and easy. For those who haven't had a Sno-Ball in New Orleans-they are just wonderful and really do the trick to cool someone down when that heat and humidity team up to wear a person out. I really enjoyed it and wished I had found this market earlier in my trip as I'm sure I would've went to this great corner market more than once. Great little market.

They had some pre made deserts as well. If you want an authentic Muffuletta then here is your place to go! It has a small section in the back to sit and eat your sandwich. It's a deli not a diner so the seating is not super fancy. They have bathrooms for customers and it's the best Muffuletta you can eat. Well worth the trip.

Lately, The Fresh Market has definitely become my go-to. The butcher counter is my favorite part of the store. I'm there weekly getting ribeyes, cutlets, bacon, and ground beef, and the freshness really is hard to beat. I also love that the store carries so many clean-ingredient options, so I don't feel like I have to constantly stand there reading every label trying to figure out what's actually good quality. The store itself is always clean, organized, and quiet, especially early in the morning. Parking is plentiful, which is a huge plus, and because it's a smaller store, grocery shopping feels much less overwhelming than at a large supermarket. Overall, The Fresh Market has become my favorite place to grocery shop. Great quality, fresh meats, clean products, easy parking, and a calm shopping experience what more could you ask for?
