Have been to this clinic twice and both times, have had very good care. DNP Candice was very…read moreprofessional, knowledgeable and explained thoroughly. the front desk lady (didn't get her name) was kind, helpful & friendly, as was the medical assistant crystal lopez. Hopefully we won't have to come back, but if we need to, I will not hesitate. Thank you vital care!!!

THE BEST URGENT CARE EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. I was pet sitting in town when I became violently…read moresick. I called ahead to explain my symptoms, and when I walked in, the receptionist already knew who I was. I was alone and could hardly stand. She gave me the paperwork and a puke bag right away. As soon as I started trying to fill out the paperwork, I became violently ill in the waiting room. The staff immediately rushed over to me and brought me back into a room, despite the incomplete paperwork. The entire staff was very concerned about my condition and stood very close to me while medication was administered. I was even walked to the bathroom and monitored. The nurses encouraged me to stay as long as I needed. Once I felt well enough to leave, the staff recommended items to recover from being extremely dehydrated from vomiting for so long. The receptionist went out of her way to help me to my car, while Carissa asked me where I was staying and encouraged me to go straight there and not make any stops and just to rest. She DOORDASHED me Liquid IV and a few other things to help me, knowing I was alone pet sitting. She called me an hour later to follow up with me after hours and sure enough, I had a delivery at my door. And thank goodness because I needed to get straight to bed. I have never had this kind of service and care at any urgent care. They were not just nurses and staff, they displayed a level of concern of that show how wonderful they are as humans. Thank you ladies!

I chose WestTex Urgent because of: 1. The ability to set…read moreup an appointment. 2. Location 3. The ability to set up an APPOINTMENT. So I set up a 6:00pm appointment online for the following day. Like instructed, I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. There were a few other individuals in the waiting room but I wasn't worried because, I SET UP AN APPOINTMENT. Then 6:00 came and went... hmmmmm... and I got called back at 6:20. Ok, perhaps they were running a bit behind. The nurse asked some questions, took my vitals, stated there were 2 patients ahead of me and left the room. I then waited... and waited... and waited. I seriously thought I had been forgotten about. No one even popped in to update me. The battery on my phone kept going down, down, down. The Doctor finally came in the room... at 7:37pm. (Phone battery down to 9%) Since my reason was fairly straight forward, I was back in my vehicle heading home at 7:42. Yup, you read that right. Less than 5 minutes and out the door... and a $100 copay! I guess I'm just kind of confused by the point of having an appointment. I work in the dental field and am familiar with appointments. I'm familiar with running behind at times. But I'm also familiar with how, at least we, would handle walk-ins. I'm just curious... so I had an appointment at 6pm. If someone walked in at 5:55pm, would they be seen before a 6:00 appointment making the scheduled patient wait? Do they base the order on how "emergency-like" the patient is? I don't know. The Dr. seemed friendly, I guess. He tried to lighten the mood with some humor. Maybe it's because I was a little annoyed with being there nearly 2 hours that I wasn't in that good of a mood. But the front desk girl and the nurses were all nice. Waiting room wasn't the cleanest. Someone left USED tissues on the table and seat. Blah! Don't worry I CLEANED THEM UP (using coffee stirrers so I didn't touch them). Gross nonetheless. So here's my visit summed up: 5:45 - arrived for 6pm appointment 6:20 - brought back to exam room 7:37 - Dr. comes in room 7:42 - in my car heading home I honestly don't know if I would choose WestTex Urgent Care... I guess it would depend on the situation. Maybe I'd give them a chance to change my mind and I can update this review. ***REMINDER: BRING YOUR CHARGING CABLE***
