My apologies in advance for leaving oil puddles on driveways throughout Miami. Met Willy of GAW on Wednesday, January 25th and explained situation with leak. My assumption was that oil was coming from in-between engine and tranny. Willy was honest from the start and stated it would take a few days. Explained it was my daily driver so he told me... let me see what we can do. Received a call about mid day with great news. The oil was actually coming down the engine from the valve covers. Long story short had to replace valve cover gasket, rocker housing gasket, and the crank case breather. Clean the hell out of my engine while providing updates via text including attached pictures. He said oh this is why your car was making that noise, it didn't have oil. So the repair he did was unnecessary for the reason I took the car there in the first place. He said that my car should be running smoother and it wasn't and when I asked for a refund, he said he can put back the old parts but charge me labor for it. I never received an itemized bill when I requested one. On 4/27, the owner, Salvador who is also the mechanic, sent me text to call him to dicuss my concerns. I was able to respond on May1st. I called him and tried to discuss my concerns, but he kept on talking above me in Spanish. I told him that he scammed me and overcharged me and did not even check my oil on the initial day I had brought my car to his shop. Had he checked my oil, then the rattling problem would have been solved.
