However, we decided to take a chance when the line disappeared, plus we were desperate. First of all, very expensive for gelato, even more than prices at renowned spots - and tiny scoops! Workers very stingy, even with giving a couple extra spoons. Also, no samples, our first time experiencing that at a shop. Flavors tasted fine, which was this shop's only saving grace. Ultimately, because there aren't many options in Vernazza, it was an okay gelato spot, but the overall experience left a sour taste. Hopefully the servers we encountered were an outlier!

My husband got a hazelnut milkshake, which was thinner than milkshakes in the US that use ice cream, but he loved the strong flavors and still enjoyed it. It's probably the only time he's ever been satisfied with a thin milkshake. The people working inside were nice, and there were even a couple chairs right outside where we sat and enjoyed our afternoon treat. A very good option if you're looking for gelato in the city.

The gelato tasted exactly like perfectly roasted pistachios in a creamy form. It tasted so real and fresh and at that moment I knew how much I loved Italy. Here's a short list of all of the flavors I tried (again, I'm not ashamed!)
