What truly makes Nevada State stand out, though, is the people. The Admissions team, advisors, faculty, and staff consistently go out of their way to make students feel welcome and supported. Whether you're applying, registering for classes, or just trying to find your way around campus, there's always someone ready to help with a smile. The university was founded in 2002 and has built a reputation around small class sizes, personalized support, and student success. That student-first culture is easy to see from day one. The campus may be beautiful, but it's the friendly and encouraging community that turns Nevada State from a university into a place that genuinely feels like home. If you're looking for a school with stunning views, modern facilities, and people who actually care about your success, Nevada State University delivers on all three. Five stars--and yes, you'll probably end up taking way more campus photos than you planned.

With that being said, from what I understand, some of your doctor or nurse practitioner visits may include a student that shadows the professional. The nurse practitioner that I saw, I got the OK because my girlfriend has been coming her for a couple years. So I don't know who here is or is not accepting new patients at this time. I can tell you that I got the most thorough initial evaluation with all my questions answered, and no rush at all, which is an oddity in today's medical world. The facility itself in the areas that I saw were very clean and everybody was extremely friendly. I truly look forward to our next visit.

The day prior to the appointment, I received a confirmation call requesting that I arrive 30 minutes early for my 8am appointment. Unfortunately, I already had a meeting scheduled from 6:30am - 7:30am so I could not do this. I arrived for my appointment at 7:55am. I am already an established patient of the clinic and my insurance had not changed, so there was no need for me to fill out forms or do any insurance updates. I was turned away from my appointment that I had arrived ON TIME for, because I didn't arrive 30 minutes early, after waiting to be seen for 3 weeks, with an issue involving pain. I even explained to the front desk that I AM A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER who owns/runs my own primary care practice and I had blocked off time on my schedule specifically for this appointment, and thus, did not have any time available within the next 3 weeks to reschedule because I have my own patients to care for. Still- no exceptions, or accommodations were made. As a business owner AND a medical clinic owner- I am foremost to understand why certain policies and procedures are set in place for an office to function smoothly. HOWEVER- I also know when to be flexible, accommodating, and when I can make exceptions from time to time. Given the fact that the office staff failed to clarify at the time the appointment was book that I was expected to arrive 30 minutes early, AND the fact that I had already waited 3 weeks for the appointment AND the fact that I am in pain... I feel that it would have been reasonable to make an exception to the rule. I will not be returning to Touro University for care, nor referring any of my primary care patients here if this is how patients are handled. I'd rather pay out of pocket and go somewhere that I am treated, firstly, as a human- and then a "customer".

It may be common knowledge to some but I was unaware of the parking policy. If there were posted signs, they definitely weren't posted for someone like me, visiting for the first time. First time on this campus, trying to follow the flow of traffic while trying to read names of buildings, without running anyone over. I definitely recommend visiting the website for the campus FIRST before a first time visit. There is detailed information on everything you would want to know. Definitely my bad for not taking my own advice before going. Aside from my request for flashing neon billboards at each and every turn telling me where to go, The campus is beautiful and well laid out. The staff in the area were very accommodating in helping me in the right direction to where I needed to go. May the Gods be ever in your favor.

He and about 50 kids got rolled in to a problem with the administration because they joined a fraternity that was no longer operating. The kids did not know, and the administration went on a witch hunt. They did not give anyone a warning and they expelled or suspended an incredible amount of good kids. The administration needs to learn about mentoring young people. It is irresponsible, frustrating, negligent, and horrifying the way they had such disregard for such a large group of students and the unprofessional manner with which they handle their affairs. My son will no longer be attending UNLV and I can only say that if your child wants a true college experience with a fraternity, do not send them there.

Throughout my time here, I witnessed many positive changes that directly benefited students and enhanced our learning experience. The faculty has been incredibly supportive, advocating for students' concerns while maintaining transparency and accountability. They provided the necessary resources for those willing to take initiative in their education and seek help when needed. Dean Green, in particular, actively listened to our feedback as nursing students and implemented meaningful changes that improved the program. The instructors were dedicated to our success, guiding us through complex nursing concepts and ensuring we were well-prepared for clinical practice. Hands-on experience in both the skills lab and clinical rotations was invaluable, allowing us to apply what we learned in real-world healthcare settings. These experiences truly reinforced our critical thinking and patient care skills. Overall, my time here was a transformative journey, and I am grateful for the education, mentorship, and hands-on experiences that have prepared me to begin my career as a nurse. For students who are committed to their success, this program provides the tools and support needed to excel. I've made long-lasting relationships with faculty, and students from different terms and programs and look forward to staying in touch :)
