Do you want to get fit or do you want to screw around?
My wife and I have been to two sessions with Danny so far, and I don't think I've ever been more sore than after the Saturday morning Strength and Conditioning class. High tempo, tough-but-doable exercises, good energy and instruction. If only the weather would cooperate (the training is outdoors), this would be the perfect way to get into shape, fast. So far we've had groups of 5-6, which is a great number to get personal instruction but have enough people around to keep up the energy.
The workouts are eclectic, drawing mainly from the boot camp / crossfit style, but throwing in purpose-specific exercises like ice skating TRX jumps in the ski prep class we took. Expect Olympic lifts, sprints, pullups, box jumps, etc. All of it adjustable for various difficulty levels, but expect to work hard. Hopefully if I can stop getting sick (twice in November so far! stupid rainy London) I'll be able to commit to a regular schedule and wind up maybe 1/4 as ripped as the instructors. I know my wife wouldn't mind. read more
