I have been investigating luxury nursing homes and retirement villages in the north of England for my father who is wanting to retire back to the UK. I felt this place was very welcoming and warm, I especially could see how devoted to her clients the head matron was. As for the 'luxury nursing home', the rooms in the main house were nice and could be personalised, if you can afford it you could instead choose to rent out one of the houses on the street with antiques, chandeliers, and expensive carpets! So you are really living independently but at the same time have help on hand. They seem to have a good social agenda and really cater to the choices of their clients including a chauffered Bentley, although wonder how available it is as I'm sure my father would want to be cruising around in it all day.... hmmm. read more
