If I could give the service 0 stars I would. I was made to feel like an inconvenience over the phone with Debbie who said from the beginning that she could not help me and that I should order online. When I said I had a few questions, she huffed and puffed and tried her best to rush me off the phone. This isn't the first time we've had a bad experience over the phone with Debbie. I found a fabulous backsplash product and thought the colour was perfect until I put in up against the wall and realised that it was too dark. When I ordered them (8 sheets) I was told there would be a $14 ordering fee which I gladly paid. When I returned them to order a different colour I was told there was a 35% restocking fee because they didn't want to keep them in the store although they had multilples of other colours on their shelf. At no time when ordering them was I told about the restocking fee. When I politely expressed my displeasure and asked to speak to the manager the sales person said "sure" and went back to get her. A few minutes later she returned and said "the manager says there is nothing she can do for you and she will not come out to see you." Talk about adding insult to injury! I took the $70 hit and left them there and promptly went up to Lowes and found what I wanted there. I try to support local retailers as much as possible but I will never again shop at Barrydowne Paint and Wallpaper where their motto is obviously "treat your customers like crap." read more
