I think Mr Conick was intrigued by the challenge and took me and my case on. I was young had a 7 month old baby when we met and most lawyers didn't want to fight past the "mommy" aspect of my case. Being that if I was healthy enough to have a child and take care of him, there's no way I would be considered disabled. Although, my case was difficult, he never gave up on me through multiple hearings, appeals, the birth of two more children, being evaluated by multiple government doctors, my own doctors, treatments, injections, multiple new medications and what seemed like endless roadblocks. My case went on for years and was even appealed to the Federal Court level and was remanded back to that state level. Mr. Conick ultimately prevailed, and in late 2017, 6 years after I initially filed, we received the notification that we had won my case. Mr. Conick and his staff have changed my life and the life of my husband and children. I owe him so much. He is compassionate and patient and truly cares about his clients. You never feel rushed talking to him. He takes time for you and treats you as if you are his only client. He is knowledgeable about disability law and keeps up on the ever changing dynamic of his specialty. I can't say enough great things about this man, I owe him everything. Thank you.

My name is Christine Nankishore and I'm a resident in Aurora Illinois. I hired an attorney Debra…read moreSpector with Spector and Lenz in Oak Park IL a while back for my disability case. My case went to the Federal courts so it was a long process and we won but I am not satisfied with the outcome. I feel like I was taken advantage of tremendously during a period when I was really ill (end-stage liver failure) and desperate. During this time my attorney Debra Spector kept bombarding me with stuff to sign and many of the things I questioned and she deliberately lied to me. I'd like to say that I received a letter from Social Security on 10-07-2023 indicating that I owe Spector and Lenz 40,542.68 that it is being withheld to pay my Attorney. Honestly this was a surprise to me as I was never informed that it was ever going to be that costly as it states in that letter; practically %50. My attorney told me several times when I had asked her about her fees she kept stating that I'm only responsible for the 25 percent or which is $7,500 maximum thats what she lead me to believe over and over again. I had my attorney get some medical records for me because I was really ill but her cost doesn't justify it; i just don't see it. I even asked Debra Spector for a itemized bill on two occasions and she won't respond to me which I'm entitled to a bill I would think. How can a person charge over $40,000 and not have to answer to the charges? i believe its unethical. I also just received a 1099 from the social security to pay taxes on the entire amount of money including what she got paid and I feel like this is highway robbery. Debrorah Spector knew I didn't fully understand her contract from the beginning and It's something that I questioned and when I questioned fees she went around in circles. Debra Spector had me sign some documents when I was really ill and I questioned them and Deborah Spector kept insisting that I had used her before in the past and nothing happened and that I can trust her and she was wrong? The previous case which is the original case, I was only charged $3,300 and now over $40,000 without no clarity. Debra Spector should be held to a higher standard and Debra knew I was vulnerable and weak and couldn't fight back and she took advantage of this situation at my expense. Debra Spector took. me for every penny she can get and only cared about her getting paid at the end. Debra asked a few times when she got ill that I sign a fee agreement with Justin Poh and other attorneys names listed on it and right before my last hearing she asked for it to be signed again, she said it was for her to get paid from the courts and she needed to submit these again because the case was so long. I was concerned again so I asked Debra Spector specifically if I owe any of them any money because I don't want to be responsible and she said no; she stated that the other attorneys work for her and they get paid through her. I trusted her and I was misrepresented here. When I used Deborah in the past I only dealt with her but she got Cancer things became complicated. I got different representation through her: Justin Poh and Initially in the beginning I didn't know what was going on when he took my case I couldn't even opt out because Spector and Lenz didn't inform me to the new representation until a few days before my hearing so I was stuck and we attended the hearing. Justin Poh represented me at my hearing and as a result of it, he costed me my case at that time because I lost; at that time he was new to that field and was lacking experience and I feel I wasn't fully represented and had no choice in backing out. In 2010 Deborah Spector represented me and charged me $3,129 and now it's over $40,000 and that's a big difference. I'm not sure why I am being charged over $40000 and how this can be fair that I get no bill, no explanation from social security? If you are seeking an attorney be carful and wise because this law firm was not ethical in the end it cost me and it can happen to you too. Sincerely Christine L Nankishore Please note that I am publicly asking for a receipt from you. You have not responded to any calls regarding a bill and I would like a bill for service for the 40,000.

After having a terrible experience with an attorney located on W Adams St, I was extremely apprehensive in searching for another immigration attorney. I was initially drawn to Takhsh Law due to the reviews and my decision to collaborate with Alen was because of his own personal story and his mission statement. Like most minority groups, it's not unusual to face discrimination (and sometimes harm) when seeking representation. Both Alen & Nicky were extremely kind and forthcoming with all their advice and support. I was informed that after marrying my partner of 15 years, the projected timeline to receive my Green Card was 9 months. I was extremely skeptical at first due to my previous attorney promising to receive my Green Card within 2 years. It took 5 years of waiting and thousands of dollars to have my application cancelled due to the time expiring and waiting for the lottery to receive a Green Card number. Nicky always explained things clearly and simply with crystal clear and with open communication any time of the day. As each step of my application was completed, I would breathe a sigh of relief and feel pressure come off my shoulders. It was very easy to trust in their process because they got things done. I received my Green Card in 6 months! Not only have Alen & Nicky displayed sublime professionalism, but they also demonstrated it in a very compassionate and empathetic way. To anyone seeking immigration representation, look no further. There is a reason why Takhsh Law has 5 Star ratings across the board. They are welcoming to everyone and follow through with their word. Thank you so much, Alen & Nicky! You are making a difference.

We asked him a question and rather than reassure us with the TRUTH he used a LIE to elevate our anxiety and charge us an outrageous fee. We went to Alen for a second opinion. Always early and answering all our questions patiently. I could not recommend him enough!
